Thank you geminibella for sharing this letter and mabrouk mara tenye.

I have a few question. Why they say in the letter: Please note, this does not guarantee that a visa will be issued. My second question is: if we go to the embassy in lebanon, its will take how many time to get the passport back.

Yallah nshallah all 2010 applicants will be done by the end of november.

Thank you and you're very welcome Hab hope you get it soon :-)

I don't know why they say it's not guaranteed that a visa will be issued I asked around but no one answered. I think that would be ridiculous to make someone travel and then tell them sorry a visa will not be issued.

Anyways the reason my husband went to Damascus is because he can just get the visa the next day as if he sends his passport by mail or go to Beirut it takes about a month.. A waste of time really :-)

Good luck everyone :-)

Thanks for your help ;D
How long are police checks valid for? We sent them an updated on August 16th with the RQ...and I've been hearing different things. I know they would ask for one if they needed, but since we're sending in the green sheet I want to send in an updated police check too if we need...

I don't know exactly how long they are valid for however from what I've heard it's about 3 months :-)

Maybe it's your best bet if you send one along with the green sheet. Good luck :-)

Dear mikie the reason my husband went straight to Damascus is because they will issue him the visa within the next day however if he were to send it through courier or go to Beirut it would take a good 4 weeks as Beirut needs to send it to Damascus and what not.

As for the reason why he needs to bring a copy of the email in order to enter the embassy is probably because they don't let anyone in unless their case is done and that shows proof. Otherwise the embassy would be packed with random people all the time lol.

My husband is going back to the embassy in about 1 hour to pick up his visa inshallah :-) will keep you all updated :-) and gooood luckk for today everyone :-)

Teyib. Thanks! We'll send one in just in case...since I've also heard 3 months, 6 months, and that once you send the first one they're valid until you get the visa ???
Lol better safe than sorry!

Just out of curiosity...how many of you here are currently living with your spouse while their application is being processed? How long have you been living with him/her? I am here in Lebanon with my husband...but I will be returning to Canada in about a month for Christmas. What about everyone else?
