Be positive.
So they say "we made disicion". It is good point and you will receive good news soon.

Well, I think this is great news or e-cas mistake; don't quote me on this because I'm no expert but I thought I'd reply since you sounded nervous and I know other members are probably asleep now. So maybe they tried calling your husband and couldn't reach him or they emailed or mailed him? Did he check his email? Or they will just call on Sunday since today they shut early... Don't worry, everything will be great! And you'll reunite in no time now!

You know sometimes we can not believe such a good news how can come. We are waiting for a shock but good news come very smoothly and whispering in our ears. And we can not believe as ATHAB can not believe that. It is good sign!

I don't think the kit number is useful. my husband redid his medical in Iran yesterday and our lawyer had told him to use his client ID number but the doctor wanted the "b" number given by Syria. our lawyer has sent an email to Syria to ask for the number.... I hope for a response! the doctor says to use the b number or do not fill in the file number at all, our lawyer says using the ID number from Mississauga is fine.... too many rules for this games I wish I knew the answer!

I think it is better when you yourself as sponser send them an email and ask for your file number. I think Damascus does not pay attention to lawyers.

i sit today with a person who get his visa two days ago and ask him some question, but whats surprise me is when they ask him for interview he didnt go to syria and he did it in jordan, hes file reach damascus 6 dec 2010 they ask him for interview 5 Nov 2011 they issue visa 4 Jan, so its 13 months, he went to syria and get his visa he told me that there was 6 ppl get visa the same day, im just wondering if they ask me for interview is it going to be in jordan or syria?

Whatever they ask we have to follow. Do have we another chance?

my husband is a PR and he has a client ID number which is shown In the sponsorship approval letter and also there is another No. called 'kit ID number"in that letter which should I use since I dont have my file No. for the medical exam.

Our situation is exactly the same. My wife is a pr and we received the mail showing her Client ID number on May 5th and since then no update is made. My medical will get expired next month, I'll contact my lawyer on Monday asking him about the number we have to use.
I'll let u know about the results.

2) permanent residence application status------> application received

Can anyone let me know that the 13 month average processing time (mentioned in Damascus website) is started since the beginning of the process or after receiving the client number?

It started from the day your application has been received by damascus office.

Check your e-cas, it says: "We received *********'s application for permanent residence on *****.

The date mentioned there is starting point.


By the way, client ID is not what you received after submitting your sponsorship application. you've got Client ID since you landed in Canada.

I meant that you could go to e-cas and choose "client id number which is the 8 digits number on his PR card " then put your husband's info: i.e. name, date of birth, etc... You will be able to see a section about you and your sponsorship application.
In regards to the medical exam, do you have an F/b number on the sponsorship approval letter?
