Hi Ramz,
I don't know if recieving an e-mail from NRJ is a good thing as I am not aware if there is any intials associated with the PPR e-mails and whether they are NRJ (people who got thier PPRs might be able to shed some light on this).
If what i speculated was right then when we recieved the e-mail from NRJ it was about 8 months processing at Damascus for our file. Still there is people here with less processing time! It goes again to the fact that there is no clear rules and it's a case by case situations.
All you can do is make sure everything is there for them to examine. It's like an assay you can say this is good enough or you can work harder on it to make it even better. Even though you might do a really good job but your assay will end up marked by a taugh VO

ure reasoning does make sense about the initials i looked up the e mails and 2 were with no initials and my file reched damascus in may ..in june 15 and 19 it was RLA then october 4th and 11th NHA but no NRJ yet !!! hmmmm what do u say ??

People I just read a post by this guy who's sponsoring his spouse from Argentina. The processing time, as CIC says is 10 months, but he got his in only 1 month!!! He said he applied a month ago and just received an email today saying that the visa is ready and they just need the passport to issue it. How great is that...........

I just read that one too!!! It's crazy! He said they started processing his application Nov. 24th and he got PPR yesterday!

Hello,Damascus:
I'am going through through a simular situation, I ment my Wife(she is Chinese)Knew her for 3 years, tried to bring her to Canada for a visit, in 2009, She was refused because apparently my Family has to much. I guess it dosn't pay to work hard and do something with you life in canada.
I than contacted the Government and A Lawyer friend, and was advised I had to prove to the Canadian Government, we wanted to be togeather.
So i went to China followed all the requirements set forth by the Canadian Embassy, We were married,by the Government.
After being advised she and her daughter would be processed quickly,as the Canadian Government, respects and strides to get , and keep familys togeather, to have our Application to canada take to the max in time, and than refused because My wife didn't know enough about my Family, and off all things details about my Divorce, which happened in the earily 90's., and they doubted our Marrage.
If anyone can give me some advise, it would be appreciated. We in the appeal process
