Im wondering about the same thing since my husband is here in Canada now. Maybe you should call Immigration Canada and ask them about it.
Also, How can you just crossed the border between Canada and USA for landing? you dont need a visa to enter USA?

I asked someone from this forum, he said that you can make U-turn from any Canada/US border, I think I don't need a visa to US as I am not going to enter US!

as per what my husband said he stamped it from both everything mostly needed to be stamped from foreigh ministry in damascus. if my husband was up now id ask him but hes not just do but hun its better

oh that someone was me actually koumail you have to enter the states at the border and they will reject you for not having a visa to enter, you need the rejection stamp or whatever it is for coming back to the canada border to show you have been out of canada. that is what someone else did and told me, you can call cic and ask them about this to make sure.

Congratulations Koumail. I think you could just do the landing in the immigration canada office in your city, thats what I did when I "landed" as a skilled worker PR.

By the way, many others have done the same. All you have to do is call immigration canada and book an appointment

Also, if the waiting time is relatively long you could just take your papers and go to the immigration office and tell them you want to do the landing process and they might just do it same day or the day after. I tried it and it worked !!

For that I will call cic to be sure, but regarding the passport, I don't know how many days it takes for the embassy to return back my passport, do I have to ask DHL to pick up my passport from the embassy, or the embassy will return it back automatically?
Please I need answers for those questions.

you sent the passport by DHL and they will return it to your current address so if you advised them u live here for now they will send it back here just send ur passport asap

I don't know if it is the same case for me! As I am applying for PPR out-land, and I am now in Canada, I have to show immigration that I left Canada and landing again, that's what I know, however, I will call CIC,

I would not recommend him to do that. They will not let him enter. I tried to enter in the Canadian embassy in Lebanon and even if im a canadian they didnt care to let me in. :-[

Me too! They wouldn't let my husband in, so I asked if I could go in and they said no. I really dislike the consulate we have on Lebanon. The people are not friendly at all...at least every time we've gone they're not.
