I also wanted to ask about interviews. I've noticed that there are not many posts about interviews? Has anyone had his/her spouse go through the interview? If yes, how many months after you received the RQ? I'm just curious, as this stage might be coming up soon for my husband.

we actually had 2 interviews and it was at the lastttt step of processing after the file is complete so if u pass the interview they give u the visa. but it's really rare to be called for an interview

after reading the last 8 pages, i was just wondering, nagz, or gem, since u guys did medical before they asked, did u have to send anything in to them.... i mean doesnt the doctor send the info in automatically

about the medical I didn't send them the receipt until they requested it... but I guess it was a good thing to have done it before ! because as soon as i sent the proof that it was done they gave us the visa

Yeah I agree its a good idea to do it before hand so its ready because if its expired and they ask you to redo it by the time you do it and they receive the results might take a bit longer because it takes them apparently a month or 2 to receive the results from paris who knows. I didnt send them anything yet but my husband sent me the scanned copy of the medical results from the doctor and someone on here mentionned it was a good idea to send them a copy by email so I just might do that I dont think it will hurt.

We shall wait and see

aww thats cute! what a happy birthday it will be for you when is he going to fly out? from lebanon, right? my husbands in lebanon too his medicals and police expire end of december...so im thinking IF he doesnt get his visa by then, what does he have to do inorder to redo it? just go to the hospital and ask to get it done, does he need to take in a paper? if so where would he get that paper from..sorry for the ton of questions!

haha np. well he's getting his visa monday. and then I guess he'll fly here in a week , a week and a half.... You see it's olive picking season right now and we have a lot of olive trees in our fields and he has to help his mother pick them off the the trees and make olive oil and such things............................. ??? interesting right lol... So to answer your questions , basically yes he calls, takes an appointment brings passport size pictures the receptionist will probably tell him how many on the phone but i'm guessing it's probably 2.. and then that's it he doesn't need to bring a paper the doctor will provide him with one... so i guess if you don't hear anything until the expiry of medicals just go ahead and re-do them along with the police report and wait until they ask you to send them or send them right away as you wish but make photocopies before in case they say they never got them etc. etc.
