Dear friends,

In case I want to send my requested documents to the embassy by e-mail, do I have to use the case specific enquiry OR the general one?

I sent all documents including originals by Mail Xpress to Damascus, but still not delivered yet from more one week!

No it is because that my wife can not redo the medical exams before the delivery. So in your case it will take one to two month after recieving the RQ. I suggest to write them an email asking about the RQ. That what we did, after one week we recieved it.

if i have to wait till february i think i might kill myself :-[
also i redid the medicals today (i still have tomorrow), it all costs 100$ i was surprised coz i thought it was 200 : my medicals expires on the first of november, i thought that this way it'll arrive to the embassy as soon as it expires without no delay...

you can send them to the general email address. i sent scanned copy of my RQ and requested documents by email and had my wife drop off the originals the embassy.

I send to the general email, but I get a message that I have a problem with one or more uploadable file, later I get a confirmation letter from embassy. I think they accept only limited capacity upload for documents!

I will ask my wife to redo her medical exams by the end of this month.
her medical expires in the mid of next month
where do you track the package? and you get the tracking number from the doc?

the processing time is 13 months for damascus files from the moment it was received until the visa is issued , for the second file number with is the Permanent residency file that starts with B ...you can e mail immigration or try to call CIC and ask them theyre number is on the web site ...thewebsite doesnt get updated often , so keep checking ur e mail the one u gave them in the papers

Its only 100$ in Jordan, the doctor told me that sometimes people come from close countries to do the medical because its cheaper in Jordan

I am Canadian Citizen and I got married recently.
I applied for immigration for my wife and I received her first file number from
Mississauga 21 Jun 2011.
She is Iranian and she lives in Iran. The Email from immigration office said my files went to Ottawa instead Damascus because of new situation of Syria.
But I never received my second file number.
I was wandering is it normal or not?
and how loge it take to she comes to here.

Please and please if some one have information about that let me know.

i wonder if the new files going to ottawa is a good sign that they will be wrapping up our files in damascus?!
sohrab i guess after reading about everyone going ahead and re -doing medicals its probably best to have ur wife re do them closer to them expiring BUT hopefully she won't even have to!

I sent all documents by Mail from Canada Post with Xpress, but unfortunately I find today that package return back to my address!! I ask Canada post about that, they just say shipping to Syria is suspended! Also shipping with FedEX is suspended to Syria, so I will try with DHL tomorrow!

consider tnt.com too because i have heard dhl goes through the usa and your package may be selected for security check and the possible delays...
