I have a question please,
If I am in Canada and I get my PR visa, do I have to leave Canada and Landing again OR I can send my passport to Damascus by Mail and landing from the US/Canada border ?? I am confused because I asked a lawyer and he said you have to leave Canada if you are applying from outland!!

they acknowledged the receipt of my RQ and they acknowledged the receipt of the documents i sent in june .. i was actually surprised they did. that`s what they had said

You have to send your passport to Damascus and when you get the visa you have to leave Canada and get in again, it can be any border, like you can just go the niagara falls, go out of canada, make a u-turn and land!

usually you have to get to a port of entry BUT .....i know someone who didnt have too and stayed right after the visit visa in the country and his PR was transfered to canada from damascus , its a case by case it depends.
