Here is the colouring rationale:

greeen: done
red: above 6 month processing time in Damascus
yellow: not active in forum more than 3 months
black: zero or less than 6 month in processing time in Damascus


I also updated the numbers.

By the way, my feeling did not take into account the eid. so in the first week of the September we will have at least 5 PPRs.

Those in red colour status, please have your sponsored to check their mailbox frequently as well as the junk and spam boxes

Hey Guys,

I just found this awesome and informative forum with very nice people. It is good to be here to stay updated. Do you guys know if Damascus office is still processing Sponsorship applications? When I check the status on ECAS it only says "Application Received". Is this normal?

Hey guys I just spoke to my MP`s office. So she called immigration canada yesterday . they told her that his file is in the last stage they are doing his background check in Gabon, Africa because he used to live there for 12 years so that`s why it is taking longer. They told her once the background check is over they will e-mail us to submit the medical exam depending on the results of the background check. Since I`m in Quebec I had to apply for something called CSQ which is like ``acceptance in QUebec`` I sent it last November and they had sent me the confirmation that everything is fine, she told me today that immigration canada told her my husband is accepted in Quebec since June 6 2011, she told me it's a good thing it means the file is almost complete. just waiting for the results of the background check. She also told me I think your husband is in lebanon now ( I don`t know how she found out, can`t remember If i told her ) so I said yes. She said it`s very important to update his adress because they need it.

Yes Damascus is processing the sponsorship applications. Also apparently Damascus is too lazy to update e-cas, because they're so busy working on our files, lol! But yes it is normal to just say "application received" forever!
What is your timeline?
