a strange thing is that when I called the embassy about quebec office,they denied it and they suggested to just believe what has been stated in the website ,the funny part is that they do not update their website.I really dont know why some of the employees in cic center just dont want to inform us what is going on!

send it to immigration office after u renew it, the doctor ll give u a paper and your pic in it , send thats one

I have send an email to Damascus office asking about my ARC, and hopefully they ll look at it, and ask for Passport .

I do not know if the embassy closed down as some of you said, but I do not think so.

and really here is some people put a lot of negative news just to make us stress more, please if any have no sure about his news keep it for himself .

To Mississauga?
No, Mississauga doesn't send acknowledgment of receipt! You just have to wait for them to make their decision and then they will contact the sponsor. I think the processing time for the first stage is 46 days now. You can check with the mail courier you sent your application with to see if its been delivered or not.

I agree Vivi!!! Both my husband and I are feeling reaaaaaallllyyyyy positive for the month of Aug!!!! I talked to the call centre on Thursday and was told that the embassey in Damascus was closed for a few weeks and they were sending new applications to ON and were considering transferring all files there but the embassey has since reopened and they are not transferring files. They do have a slight backlog from being closed for a few weeks BUT was told they are catching up quickly I also was visiting my MP for another reason and mentioned our application - he was going to make some calls to see exactly what's happening at the embassey.... fingers crossed for August ;D

hello all, i hope every one is doing well, i havent posted in quite a while since i was on a couple mid east projects,
we had a horrible month in july but i got the chance of going to damascus as a support worker, they have cut their staff by 10 % , its against the law to check a file that is related to your self but i had my colleague check it for me, they havent even looked at it yet....... its still in the queue
the only encouraging thing was that there were many people at the door everyday...... they are handing out visas like usual, between 40-50 a day
so its a good sign that with all the commotion its still not affecting our files,
i wanted to go to iran to see my wife but the situation didnt allow me for the second time,
anyways i hope we all have a great month in august
