really !! I think the others mentioned something like 15 days!! anyway my husband is landing in Lebanon on July 5th so that's 16 days from now so I guess it's all good. he won't have to change his flight even if they issue him the visa before. but with my luck I'm pretty sure we're gonna be one of those 12 months processing exception lol !!

well it depends on the medical date, if the medical is going to expire in 15 days then they will give you 15 days to pick up the visa and land in canada. but in normal conditions it would be at least 30 days ... nooooooo way! that's not going to happen! :-*

hi yenafar,
i couldn't find your name in the chart! :( are you the "yenavar"?! ;) ... wow last stage of processing is really a good sign! :)

Today, I called the Canadian embassy in Damascus and their reply was the same. "Sir, send email or fax". I told her I already send an email and fax and I got no reply. She played the tape recorder again "Sir, send an email or fax". I wish they did not invent emails and faxes. People's life is not important to them!. the important thing for them is the pot of coffee to be always hot & ready. Also, the pack of cigarettes is full. I wish I can change my career and become visa officer in Damascus, even for a day; I just want to know what do they do all day long beside drinking coffee. W'nhna=we work all day long,, and pay taxes liked crazy to pay those people salaries.....I understand they dont want any criminals to enter Canada and they are doing this to protect "us" (I buy that), bas=but work and dont take 11 month just because you decided to do that. We are not toys!!!!They know what is going on in Syria, you are short of staff? No problem!hire more!ya3mme, hire casual agents (3 month contract). In that way, you will process files faster and will have a lot of time to drink whatever you like and talk about people.

lol mikey, you have to relax my friend, its not like your file has been there for 1 year, there are ALOT worse embassies and visa offices, im sure they are doing their best, be patient and youll have good news, think about it, there arent 2 files, hundreds of thousands of files go through the immigration section, i agree with you but being angry doesnt exactly help anything right? imagine if our file was is abu dhabi..... 27 months!

now i feel good, i am writing rhymes hahaha....I came up with sick rhyme.....Too bad, I cant post it here, it contains some unprofessional words haha

Sohrab: youre right...but my wife is residing in unsafe place, but the canadian embassy doesnt understand this......deep breath

I had a general question

My aunt applied for a Visitor Visa from Tehran. after 3 month the embassy has told her they will send the passport back to her with DHL. but no answer to either she got it or not. What does this mean. Did she get it or not ?? has this happened to anyone else ?? Any Idea

Vivi2 - this is soo crazy! I was reading through some old post and saw that you had written about leaving your husband a few days after getting married! That is also what happened to us! We got married and my husband flew to Iran the next day and now I haven't seen him for 7 months :( It's so hard to be newlywed without my husband!! But fingers crossed hopefully SOON they will join us in Canada :P (They better be here by our anniversaries LOL!)

hello all,
they received my additional docs this morning, how long you think till they decide on the file ( it has been 8 months and 2 weeks ...)
hope we hear something for this week

My application is in process in Damascus for exactly 9 months and they requested additional documents from us last month and they received them by DHL on June 5th and till today I haven't heard back from them.
So all you have to do is wait and be patient
