what do these numbers and digits in the Arabic writings stand for? do they represent some letters or something? cuz i think i remember someone said that. i was just wondering what they stand for.

hello dear vivi 7 is for letter h(ح) mm. 3 is for (ع) whch u prononce 'a' in Persian but we pronounce differently in Arabic , 8 is for (غ) like gh in nagham or naghmeh , and finally 5 is for (خ) like kh for khanoom )

hhaha I told u I bought a cd with a book 'teach yourself Persian' but I never finished learning it haha. btw my name is nagham which is the equivalent of naghmeh but in arabic so tnx for the compliment :d! I had an Iranian friend everytime I would go to her house
