hi everyone
I have a question....is me and my husband travelling to thailand going to cause any problem in his case? he was telling me that one of his friends says that having the thai visa in your passport may cause immigration not to issue ur visa...although i think thats just persian rumors...since half the faculty i work with have visited thailand and i think its considered a safe tourist destination...and lots of canadians go there every year not to mention europeans...but since last night i have been stressing out over our decision to go ....what do you guys think??? any insight will be much much MUCH appreciated....thanks..

I had a friend who went with his wife two times to Thailand for vacation and his wife got her landed Immigrant visa last year. No problem what so ever. Do not worry.
Also my wife and I went to Thailand for honeymoon. She had gone there even once before to Thailand. She had travel many places in last ten years, that should be no concern. If you went for vacation and stayed less then 180 days, but if you pass 180 days then must get a police certificate for that country. By the way my timeline and yours are close.

I remember a guy in this forum told that when he/she went to pick up the visa, he saw somebody whom the embassy asked to wait for another background check after they saw new stamp on his/her passport (they went to Dubai after submitting their files for 1 week).

Ok I read the form again. If you have a Canadian mailing address you don't need to provide proof. So in a way both you and niloo were right. Thanks

But I still don't know which option I should choose for question #4 as to what type of info I want to request. Can anyone help? Should I choose 4A or 4C or something else ???

You must choose 4A because your file is still being processed. Just write your file number (Fxxxxxxx). 4C is for getting the electronic files once the processing is completed, i.e. after one got his citizenship, PR, etc.

oh my god, u sure? we went to turkey a month after submitting our docs but sent them the hotel voucher n ticket prints as our honeymoon along with the rest of the docs cause we had planned for it before that.

If you ask me don't cancel it. To make sure ask in the forum about same cases who got the visa without any problem. personally, I don't think it is the case for everybody.

thank u alireza jan. don't really know what to say just hope it doesn't happen to me or only takes few more days cause i directly flew to turkey n thats where the embassy exactly is.

Sepiide jan I ordered my notes twice... they havent extended my husbands medicals yet... it expires March 1st... Im just praying we hear something before that... I may order my notes again in late Feb if I dont hear anything to see if the medicals have been extended or not...
