According to the second link CSIS does the security check for immigrants but it's a government organization with presumably so many departments. I am sure if you contact them they will connect you to the right department ... although I personally don't recommend any contact with CSIS ... after all they are intelligence officers!! ;D

that is exactly my question. why this f.k scrutiny took only few month after they change it into processing in spring up 2 summer and now it takes forever. i have no f.k idea what's going on. i even called Canada Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) and they said we don't do this thing. u hafta call the embassy and find out who does it. and im like buddy what are u talking about, the embassy doesn't answer to any person. so idk if he lied 2 me or he gave me honest answer. but i would call them 2mortow again 2 c if somebody else gives me the same answer or not.

hihihi well they did- they said the checks were done 7 month ago...but we are still told that checks are not done by ankara--i dont know what the fuck is going on...

i didnt call them--my lawyer got a letter from them yesterday after he had inquired about the background checks back in late september

Few days ago I found out that CIC has an email address for questions which is: question@cic.gc.ca

Once I sent them an email the auto reply was following. But they actually replied to me question the next day. You may want to try this too even though this seems to be for within Canada applications, but you may take a chance and see what happens.

Kazhal, didn't Ankara start processing your file in July 2012? Then how is that possible that your security check got done before July?

i honestly dont know--but our file was recieved by damascus on feb 7 2011- but it nvr changed to inprocess till july 3rd 2012...im sure it doesnt mean anything in our case- but processing used to mean ppr was coming very shortly in the past- for us it just means the same thing as app recieved....
