but it says that the security checks have not even started...i dont understand how they have extended it...my husbands medical is now valid until 2013 july.

Yes, it means you wife's medical is valid till Nov. 28th, 2012. Based on the new rule for the extension of medical results, they will only do the extension once the only thing holding the issuance of a visa is the medical resutls. This means if the applicant is still pending security checks and the medicals have been done more than 15 months ago, then they won't extend it.

what is the difference between the validity date and the due date???? on our due date is says sep 5th this year and on the validity it says july19 2013....

If war starts, then we have way more issues than visa. everything you said is very extreme, and if it gets to that point then politicians do not think about files in Ankara.

As sponsor, with out of country experience, we need to comfort our wives so by thinking that far you only torture yourself and her. Why bother yourself with something that may not ever happen.

What I meant in my previous post was that they are not going to delay or refuse any application just because they closed the embassy in Iran. War can happen with or without Canadian embassy in Iran.

For our case I never let my wife knows the details of process. She does not know when the application was filed, approved and so on. She does not know that I was at a point that I had to withdraw the application, and what I went through to convince the embassy to process her application. From beginning I told her and my in-laws that process will take 1-2 years and it took 20 months!

What I'm trying to say is that if some details are not gonna help then better not to share with the person that may suffer.

i dont understand people who say the closure of the embassy in iran and the iranian embassy in ottawa has nothing to do with our files. The files are still and will still be processing in Ankara, but what if they shut down the airports in Iran? If a war starts between iran and western countries there will be no commercial flights flying out of Iran ! Today iran called canada a racist country and anti-iranian. Israel is preparing themseves for millitary action and in Iran all they talk about is Canada closing the embassies. I hope Canada is smart enough to think about our applications in Turkey and how our spouses will fly there if something happens. I dont mean to be negative or to scare anyone here in this forum , but i am getting really pissed off and sick an tired at the embassy in Turkey. I had to stop my wife from crying today when we were talking on the phone. She is worried and i am worried. We need to do something if we dont hear something soon. I am ready to fly to turkey and meet my wife there if we dont hear anything and wont leave without her Visa. Enough is enough !!!

Dear Mashti , you are completely right. I made a mistake by telling her a timeline at the beginning of our processing . I try to keep her calm everytime we speak the subject comes up. When we applied the processing was 9 months and then went up and up . It is frustrating but i see lots of people getting visas recently. Thabks for your advice.

hbehname everything is listed from the most recent note or revision made by the officer. for our file for medical it says passed. and then on the most recent line it says its valid till july 2013 (date our medical expired this year). the only thing they are waiting on is our security check...so im presuming it is the same for yours as well.

So one could assume they extend ours till next year as well , right?

I currently am in Iran living with my family.
how do u suggest I should apply for the notes? Could I ask a relative in canada to pay the 5 bucks and fill the form out myself or ...?

as long as you can pay the fees you can apply for it.and just mail it from iran. someone can pay the fee for you and send you the email of the reciept and then you can print it in iran.

i am ordering another set of notes tmrw. ours notes were made on aug 15 so by the time they receive the new order it will be a month...but i highly doubt anything has changed....i think the security screening they wont mention on the report...but each case is treated differently even in regards to the extensions...i guess the extensions are at the discretion of the officer...

but i think if they get the security screening then it makes sense otherwise i hafta wait more.
