dear kazhal i got the file no. in Oct.18 and it became to in process in Jun.13 but my husband and i are still far from each other since 22 months ago.

OHH , how is it possible ? 22 months ? when did you do your first medical ?
but don't worry many sponsor is here that have same situation like you

Dear Abdullah, they asked you about re did medical , or you did it by yourself before ? and when they asked about landing fee ?

I did it before their notice. However some guys in the forum mentioned that applicant shall wait till they send a notification. I'm not sure. Also, i paid the fee before any notice.

i called the immigration number 3 days ago and the operator told me that i dont need to redo the medical...since they have the new laws maybe the expired medical will be extended...she told me not to do it unless i receive a request from the officer processing my case..

you can send the landing fee and the permanent resident fee all at once in the beginning...thats what it also says on the site

It's a little vague to me as well , but from my understanding it's saying that do not redo medicals if u think your application would be done before 15 months from your medical issuance( they might extend it for another year ) .
For me, I think we will take our chance and wait for them to ask us if it's needed.

unless you want to go through the hassle and the increasing cost of redoing medical exams...i suggest to stick with the immigration officer's advice and just wait for them to tell us to do it...
and so the wait continues....

My Dr. says if we wait for the embassy to ask us for medical, it gets processed faster since it's gonna include all the necessary info such as UCI #, Application # , ...

thanks for the response, but do you know what type of medical is required for a child that is 4 months old? I read somewhere that blood test is only for 5 years + and the X-Ray is for 11 years +
