no way that just cant be, what the hell do they think this is??? have they forgotten its human lives they are dealing with, have they forgotten how hard this has been on you and your kids already, thats nonsense love, dont lose hope and keep on talking to other members of Parliment, call jason kennys office, in fact keep on writing letters and emails to everyone in office, someone needs to say something..its crazyyyyy... my god they make me angryyy..you need to write them emails yourself, i would say attach some pics of your kids as well, someone somewhere has to have mercy and feelings in their heart...im so sorry to hear this..but is there a chance that this guy you talked has mistaken about the time..why would they say 4 weeks if they take 6 month..have you tried talking to someone else???

My husband has to send me his finger prints done by a police station in Iran. I have to send those to Ottawa to the RCMP fingerprint division. It takes the RCMP 6-8 months to complete that check and send it back to me. I then have to submit that to Ankara. The website for the Ottawa RCMP fingerprinting says the check takes 4 weeks, but I just talked to a member of the RCMP who said that those times are not accurate and it will be close to 6 months. I don't understand why they would wait this long to ask me for this!!!! Our MP has sent a letter back to Ankara to ask them if a simple criminal record check would suffice.... Which can be done at any RCMP office and takes a couple days. So our kids will go without their father for a long time... It's already been 19 months.... Now add this. It's an APPALLING system....

My MP told me to call Ankara directly and ask questions... Don't think I'll get answers but I'll stay up late tonight to try. And I'm going to make a few more calls in the morning... I just don't get it! My oldest (6years) overheard a conservation and started crying and asking I'd Baba is ever going to come back I am going to contact Jason kenney's office as well. I am so lost in my thoughts.... I knew it would take longer because of ARC but I never imagined they would make us wait this long to ask for something else like this!!! I believe they are heartless I could understand if he had a criminal record and they needed to really look into him... But there is nothing.... I wish I could personally talk to an officer at the VO and ask them if they enjoy slowly torturing people.... Thx for the support.... Maybe I'll find out better news tomorrow....

on a positive note, although we have got our visa, we have got our ticket for after summer. i know many of you are rich and don't care much. but price difference is rather considerable.

so even if you get your ppr by sep you can beat us

and for those are being sponsored, please be relaxed and don't worry. it's not like Iran. spouse sponsorship is a law and nobody can stop it. only rare cases are rejected, and quite honestly they should. i remember there was a guy who was deported from canada twice and had lied about it. he had assumed the cic had foot about it everything is captured and archived. there are rumours that even when you are at home drones are watching you

in case your case is complicated and looking for a lawyer, search for immigration here, i found a couple of lawyers who seem to be very experienced and established.

I have a question:
If the embassy sends you a PPR inshallah, can you ask someone else to collect the Visa for you? Does the passport holder have to sign a special document for that? Which one is faster, send it by courier direct to the embassy or send the passport for someone and ask him to send it back to you?

It means the applicant did not leave Canada when they were supposed to. My husband overstayed and now needs special permission to come back just found out the fingerprint check they asked for takes 6-8 months to do. We will not be getting PPR any time soon. Good luck to the rest of you..... I am heartbroken

Even if true, why should they say it NOW? What if ur MP hadnt made an inquiry? They would have never asked for ACR and made u waited more & more???

Oh my god. I am so sorry to hear that A+M. I have tears in my eyes now that I read what has happened. Your kids have nothing to do with this and they should not suffer because of some stupid paper work . I seriously hope that you would hear some really good news from them very soon. It is very frustrating Raha!!! I thought the same thing..... Had our lawyer not inquired how long would they have waited to ask for this???? I spent hours on the phone yesterday trying to figure out a different way to get. This paper sooner but there is no way to changed this. If my husband could do electronic fingerprinting we could have the paper in 72 hours... But electronic fingerprinting is not available outside Canada.

Thank you Laleh... I appreciate your thoughts. If I didn't have my kids I would be falling apart right now so many calls yesterday with and getting no hope, have a few left to make today but seems pretty hopeless...

I called Ankara last night (midnight my time, 9am their time) I was able to talk to 2 people. I asked the lady who answered how I can talk to someone about this issue. She obviously replied that I cannot talk to anyone in immigration. I told her that I was so desperate to talk to someone about this form they asked for regarding fingerprint check that takes 6-8 months to get. I told her we were already over 14 months and have kids who haven't seen their baba on 19 mOnths....
"some people wait 5 years, you've barely waited. The visa section is so busy, they have thousands of application, I feel really bad for them"
I replied.... "are you serious??????? I feel bad for the spouses and parents being kept apart from each other for years!"
She transferred me to a guy in consular services to ask about having fingerprints done at the embassy but he wasn't sure and asked me to call back on Tuesday morning when his coworker would be in.

Wow! First of all the people that answer know nothing!! They just say whatever they want to, and her saying that to that ppl have waited 5 years is her being a smart mouth!! So disregard this, and keep positive! Don't waste your thought on them
