Oh Kazhal!!! I wish I knew the right words to take your pain away this process is cruel, inhumane and downright unfair. Canada is not making a good name for themselves My heart breaks seeing the damage this process does to families! I will be praying for you Kazhal!

JayJ thux for posting the email for that one immigration reporter and id like to let you know that i have emailed lots of liberal and NDP member of parl and nothing has happened aside from a sorry email which i know that it means nothing to them....

its just the end of the road for me i now have depression thunx to immigration officers, i didnt sign up to be told for a good year and half to have patient, how the hell is this fair people get their ppr and visa before 12 month and i have been waiting for 16, and our files are still in the same freakn visa office??? some one please do tell me this fairness and i beg you all to please dont use the "patient" word with me ever again, i hate that word and it angers me when people tell me to be patient,,,i swear i know you are just trying to be nice but please dont tell me to be patient because you dont know how heartbreaking it is waiting for 16 month without any replies and yet seeing people getting visas and landing within 12-11-13 and 14 month...

Guys they finally updated the new processing time today. so now Ankara VO new processing time is 6 months. it was 5 months before, and now 6 moths. i think that means all the spousal application they receive, this new processing time would count for it.

That posted timeline is for applications filed between JANUARY 2011 and DECEMBER 2011, that was before all the transferring from Damascus and also Tehran.
CIC never predicts how long applications will take in the future, all the data on the website is for what is has previously been. With all the transferring which has happened it is unlikely for the timeline to stay around 6 months.

These timelines on CIC website are helpful when everything is normal and no transferring or overloading of a visa office has occured, that's when we can assume ok if 6 months has been the average for last year it is likely to be the average for this year too. So in our case unfortunately we can't rely on CIC's data right now for Ankara, as it is for last year, when they had no files from Damascus and Tehran.
But with all the hiring and job opportunities they are posting on their website inshallah in a really short time things will get back to normal and Ankara will be one of the fastest again.

i don't know what 2 say. when i called the cic here in canada, they told me it kinda stupid if Ankara VO refer to the new time line only 4 those old applicants. it includes all even new transfered ones. but they said keep in mind with the huge volume of files transfered it might be a bit longer. Vivi personally i believe the new time line covers all the applicants. im the optimistic one
