Does anyone know of a case where an applicant received his/her PPR even though their medical had expired and they had not renewed/resent a new one to the VO?

A visa will not be issued without a valid medical.

However I've read that SOMETIMES medicals can get extended BUT that was for inland applications where the applicant was already living in Canada. For outland cases, no it is not possible to get the visa and land without a valid medical.

Dearest friends, A+M, Samira, vivi, Nenan, Sohrab, mohammedm123, hbehmane, thanks for kind wishes, and thanks again to you and all the other members of this forum, the journey would have been much more difficult without you ..

To those waiting; hang in there! I hope and pray yours will come very soon, also hope Beirut and Amman VO's show signs of life.
And, to those who completed and soon to be completed; please continue to raise social awareness around this matter when ever, and where ever you can. In canada, voices are heard (or at least can be heard, maybe not always, but with enough momentum it will be), and remember it's only us who can make any difference, others simply cannot comprehend the extent of hardship we have been through.

ahsanttt! great message, some people get their visa and they are like well i got mine, who cares, but after going through 14 months of this , i will do what i can so future couples wont suffer like we did, im not saying i can do much but even being active here and lending a helping hand goes a long way.......
when i started i was LOST.... in a world with no answers.... this forum wasnt this informative when i started.... you had to guess and hope what you read is related to your case, but i can proudly say we have changed it..... i think people are more informed,
anyways i hope this process changes in the future for future applicants....

OMG SEE!! There IS a relationship between when you have "In process" AND "Medicals received" and PPR!!!
It doesn't matter if you saw your e-cas update after you got your PPR!! What matters is knowing that having both of them on e-cas for sure means something!!

PARASTOOOOOO IT IS OUR TURN THIS WEEK!! I AM SO SO SURE!!

Dear friends got PPR, this relationship was true in ur case? I wonder Ankara update "medical received" as soon as they got the medical result or it's a good sign of having "In process" in next week?

Congratulations to the winners. Hopefully your loved ones will join you all soon. Tabrik migam, inshallah khoshbakht bashin.

However, the struggle continues for the rest of us.

Hi all!
Congratulations to all PPR owners. I was checking the forum after a long while and it was the best 100 pages I v ever read. Hope it goes on with the same pace till we are are united with our love.
Sohrab & Arezou, I cried with your posts though was at work!!!! When we are in a huge pain, cant believe there will be a day without this suffering again. But it happened for you and for sure such a day happens for all of us soon. ;)
Arezou jan, it wud be too kind of to add my time line in the chart.
Application filed in October 4, 2011.
Processing started in December 7. (the letter said it was transferred to Damascus but we all are aware it never did)
