Look at the population of India, I'm sure New Delhi has thousands of applications to process I don't understand how it is so easy for them to finish after 4-5 months while it's taking us 10 months????

I guess in New Delhi they have more workers working on the files

Is it possible to invite your spouse as a visitor while you are filing for PR application? I called Canada Immigration and they told me both are different application and no interfere ? Is that true ? Or should people wait till they get PR instead ? Please advice me.

i wanted to do that too but when my husband went to canadian embaasy in iran they told him this isn`t adviced that to do this..it was about 4months ago..but maybe i try it again..please if u do that tell us about that...my husband who sponsored me is coming back to canada...and if i dont get my ppr i am trying to go as a visitor...

but one of the big problem is that they have our passport in their hands for minimum of 5 weeks and they dont give it back unltill the response...so if the ppr comes and u have just 2 weeks to go or one months to go u dont have any passport to go...

Yes I believe you can do that. There is no guarantee they will accept though but someone in our thread a few months back did it and brought his wife here for a visit !! good luck

The rules stills apply if you are sponsoring your spouse or not for the visit visa application. You have to prove that you will be returning to your country after the visit. Job, home, rent, and family ties are topics of concern. They might refuse the application because they will not believe that you would want to return to your country and leave your spouse be hide.

yes i know it is our chance to get a visitor visa..but the problem is our passport...they dont give it back to us if u want to go to syria...for minimum of 5 weeks..

When filing my wife's application I paid the entire fee (applicat fee and landing fee) upfront based on the promise that this will speedup the process by a couple of months. Is this something to count on or is it just another false promise?

It depend really , but what I heard is that it will speed up the process of 2 weeks and that is at the end of the process
