RCMP Fingerprinting question…

Fingerprints were requested from my husband on December 1st (from RCMP). December 4th his ink-rolled fingerprints were received by the 3rd party company The Fingerprint Room to be digitized and sent to the RCMP.

We have still had no word from the RCMP, we have pestered The Fingerprint Room for several weeks as regular turnaround time usually falls within 14 business days and it's been well-passed…does anyone know if this is normal? Is it due to the holidays?

Will Dakar grant an extension for fingerprints or is that unheard of? I am thinking worst case scenario of not hearing before the end of January...

Hi Dakar folks, planning to land and sponsor my wife and kid this year inshallah. I am using the QSW stream. Will my family be needing CSQs during sponsorship or it is just the federal part....sorry if it;s a stupid question but I'm blank in this domain. Cheers.

I am new to the forum and I wanted to express similar frustrations with the wait times. They received our application in February 2016 and started to process it in March. On October 24th they sent us an email requesting for my husband's passport and medical results as we had 30 days to send it all in. We mailed the documents back the week of Nov 14th. and the following week they updated that the medical results were received. Since then we have not heard from them and this puts me to about 7-8 week mark plus or minus

Given that some of you received answers/passports within 2-3 weeks, could it mean that there is a problem with our file?

Yes my husband received his passport back. I know a few people still waiting to get theirs back so do not panic. Dakar seems to be overloaded with work now. They are probably working on Student visas as I have a few friends who got their student visa results last week and they waited for 2 months or more.
Am sure they will finalize FAM soon

My husband's case was a little different. They received his passport at Dakar and then called him to find out if he could travel before his medical expired which was a 2 weeks window. He couldn't so he was asked to do a second medical exam. So from when we received the medical exam instructions to when his visa was issued took almost 4 weeks. He told the immigration officer that he wanted to travel in December and the officer assured him that he was going to issue his visa as soon as he receives his medical results. I don't know if that played a role.

Just be patient girl. I know a few people who have been waiting for 2 months now. It is unsual though but not impossible.
The worst part which is waiting for passport request is over. So hang on girlfriend. You wait if almost over.

*URGENT QUESTION*

Can someone please confirm how to contact Dakar? I have been using the webform for the Dakar office on the CIC website, however, I got an email today that said it is not going directly to the Dakar Office and to contact them directly - well how on earth do I do that??? The webform is all that was given to me by CIC call agents.

How are you guys contacting Dakar Visa Office???
