Hi. We recently got a request from IRCC to submit a resume from the applicant. I am wondering is that a requirement for a spousal sponsorship application. Anyone who has gotten a similar request. or if this is normal procedure. We are getting a bit worried.

They sometimes request this. As far as I can tell, it doesn't in itself indicate something is wrong, but that the officer thinks that a resume/cv in normal (not form-based) format will be easier to understand and make use of than the standard forms. Perhaps in particular there are dates of employment/study that on the electronic forms are confusing or perhaps don't quite line up. (My editorial comment is that sometimes applicants get themselves tied in knots about part-time things, student stuff, etc, whereas on a resume overlaps aren't that uncommon)

I need help. I have a question. In spousal sponsorship application (my wife is PA), i got medical, biometrics ,pre arrival letter done a month ago. But recently, I got request from IRCC to submit my wife's(principal applicant) indepth CV/ resume. Please if anybody can let me know who has gone through similar situation. Is this a thing to worry?

Read the two posts above this. It's not that rare. It's not necessarily something to worry about.
