CSQ application order

Hey guys, I'm preparing my application and have a doubt:

If I understand correctly, I need to submit my regular application and after I get the Sponsor approval, is when I apply for the Quebec undertaking, and that is when I also submit the documents for the CSQ.
Is this correct?

What 'caused confusion is that on the IMM0008 (General application form) There is a question about if I have received my CSQ and if not, specify the date when I have applied for it.

I think you can apply for it separately since they are done at different levels of government.

I am in the same process as you and called CIC. They told me to just write (awaiting for first stage approval), so I did. After my SA approval, I sent the CSQ documents and waiting for approval from them!! As simple as that, don't worry!!

You apply for CSQ ONLY when you have been approved as a sponsor. CIC will send you a letter of approval it needs to be included with your Quebec application.

If you're applying for your Spouse, you can send both at the same time.

But this is only is your spouse in already in Québec.

PRACTICAL ADVICE
For a sponsored person already residing in Québec: if the sponsored person’s application for permanent residence has not already been submitted, you could send it at the same time as your sponsorship application to the Canadian government. This policy applies only to applications submitted by sponsored spouses and common-law partners.

Hi guys! I have the same issue. What if the principal applicant is not yet residing in Quebec? Only the sponsorship application should be submitted for now? Abd apply for PR application once I get the CSQ?
