If you were present in Quebec before changes were made to the rules then your application will be processed according to the old rules before the changes.

New conditions came into effect on July 22, 2020. The following transitional measures apply:

You may submit your application under the selection conditions in effect before July 22, 2020, if:

  • You obtained a diploma eligible under the Programme de l'expérience québécoise (PEQ - Québec experience program) by December 31, 2020. The Ministère de l’Immigration, de la Francisation et de l’Intégration accepts attestations of successful completion and diplomas that were issued by education institutions after December 31, 2020, if you completed your program of study by that date.
  • You were in Québec on July 21, 2020, as a temporary foreign worker with a valid work permit or were authorized to work under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (SOR/2002/227).
If you had successfully completed an advanced intermediate course, were in the process of completing it, or were already registered for it on July 21, 2020, you may submit an attestation of successful completion of this course as proof of your French proficiency. This transitional measure also applies to your de facto spouse or spouse included in your application.

Since July 22, 2021, spouses included in a PEQ application must have Level 4 spoken French. Your spouse will not have to demonstrate knowledge of French if you are applying under the temporary foreign workers stream and had a valid work permit on July 21, 2020, regardless of when the application was submitted.

If you submit your application under the temporary foreign worker stream, your de facto spouse or spouse will not have to demonstrate knowledge of French if you had a work permit that was valid on July 21, 2020, and you were living in Québec on this date.

If you submit your application under the Québec graduate stream, your de facto spouse or spouse will not have to demonstrate knowledge of French if you obtained your admissible diploma by December 31, 2020.

All applications submitted prior to the effective date of the new regulations will be processed under the selection conditions in effect before July 22, 2020.
Hello my dad is planning to apply for this rules
He arrived here in quebec 2018 as teer 4 but his employer change it last year (turning 2 this december 2024) to teer 2.
He want to use his attestasion of level 7 french MIFI because he is’nt confident to take any exam but he can speak french well due to that he is enrolled for level 8 and doing it part time for the last 2 years
(he got his lvl 7 diplome last 2020). He preferred to be interviewed than taking any french exam

For me im level 6 french (19years old) My mom is level 6 turning 7 francisation

we are still skeptical of applying because his work permit teer 2 will age 2 years in december and we still dont know if this rules still valid up Until now we are going to get an immigration lawyer soon after the 2 years of work permit

Is there any chance for us to receive CSQ through PEQ (this rule)

Hello, the principle applicant which I assume will be your dad will have to do a language test and achieve at least level 7, MIFI French course results are not accepted for CSQ application. Spouse and dependants over 18 will not have to prove French ability if you were in Quebec when the rules changed. You can't choose an interview instead of the French exam, as recognized French Exams (TEFAQ, TEF. DELPH etc.) are required for the application to be considered otherwise you will receive an intention to refuse document unless you submit these test results. It would not move forward without it and ultimately be refused.
Consult with an immigration lawyer to get more details but Quebec is not accepting CSQ applications until next year spring.

It has been 4 months for me too, seems normal recently
The Avis can be from 2-6 months depending on the file. We waited just over 4 months until we received a request for interview letter. Interview is normally around 4 weeks from the request for interview and the majority of applications with an Avis end being called for an interview.

Omg. So it's 3 months to get a request to interview and 1 month to schedule a date for the interview. I guess I'm not seeing the CSQ by the end of the year...

Hello everyone,

Recently, I received an "Intention de rejeter" because I selected an option related to full-time studies, but in reality, it was online and didn't fit any of the available options. MIFI informed me that it was not compatible with the work hours.
As a result, they requested several supporting documents and even concluded by saying they were not sure if my documents were original.
However, all the requested documents are originals, including the employers' letters.

Is it normal for MIFI to do this? I resent the documents they requested, including photos taken during work that demonstrate some of the described duties, about a week ago. I still haven't received confirmation of receipt. Does anyone know how long they typically take to reanalyze and acknowledge the receipt of documents sent via FedEx?

Any advice or experiences would be greatly appreciated!
