Hey guys!

I'm preparing my PR application with a CSQ, however my work permit exprie soon so I'm applying for a bridging open work permit (BOWP). To apply it ask me for:

  • a copy of the letter that shows your permanentapplication number
    • This number begins with the letter “E”
I want to know what is the timeline to get that letter? is this only including in the AOR?

Thanks,

You can only apply for BOWP after you get AOR. AOR will have this number.

If you already have CSQ you can look into applying for WP for CSQ holders (if you fulfil the eligibility requirements): https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/operational-bulletins-manuals/temporary-residents/foreign-workers/quebec-cases/labour-market-impact-assessment-exempt-work-permit-renewals-extensions-certain-quebec-selection-holders.html

Hi, guys

I have a question. I applied for PEQ diplome stream in June and I have received Avis de notification in August that they will review my application.

After that, in August, I just wanted to submit more documents regarding my job offer or payslip, so I submitted through Arrima portal (I didn't send them by post), though these documents were not required.

Now I was wondering if I should have sent them by post as well. And I haven't heard anything from them. The status is still 'En traitement'. Should I be worried?

Why would you send them by post? If you applied online, it's fine

Considering this new implementation, it still shows that the delais the treatment is 6 months. Did anyone call MIFI to know more? I called using the phone number mentioned on their website (Elsewhere in Quebec) because i'm outside of mmr and nobody is picking up the phone, there is only a recorded voice memo that tells to refer to the info on the webpage regarding delais de traitement.

If you were present in Quebec before changes were made to the rules then your application will be processed according to the old rules before the changes.

New conditions came into effect on July 22, 2020. The following transitional measures apply:

You may submit your application under the selection conditions in effect before July 22, 2020, if:

  • You obtained a diploma eligible under the Programme de l'expérience québécoise (PEQ - Québec experience program) by December 31, 2020. The Ministère de l’Immigration, de la Francisation et de l’Intégration accepts attestations of successful completion and diplomas that were issued by education institutions after December 31, 2020, if you completed your program of study by that date.
  • You were in Québec on July 21, 2020, as a temporary foreign worker with a valid work permit or were authorized to work under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (SOR/2002/227).
If you had successfully completed an advanced intermediate course, were in the process of completing it, or were already registered for it on July 21, 2020, you may submit an attestation of successful completion of this course as proof of your French proficiency. This transitional measure also applies to your de facto spouse or spouse included in your application.

Since July 22, 2021, spouses included in a PEQ application must have Level 4 spoken French. Your spouse will not have to demonstrate knowledge of French if you are applying under the temporary foreign workers stream and had a valid work permit on July 21, 2020, regardless of when the application was submitted.

If you submit your application under the temporary foreign worker stream, your de facto spouse or spouse will not have to demonstrate knowledge of French if you had a work permit that was valid on July 21, 2020, and you were living in Québec on this date.

If you submit your application under the Québec graduate stream, your de facto spouse or spouse will not have to demonstrate knowledge of French if you obtained your admissible diploma by December 31, 2020.

All applications submitted prior to the effective date of the new regulations will be processed under the selection conditions in effect before July 22, 2020.

We have applied under the same rules. Last week officer asked for my spouse language test results as well as signing the declaration form! I wrote a response letter explaining that my spouse is actually exempt based on the transitional measures! We applied on July 14, correspondence received on Oct 28 and still en traitment after response letter! Did your case end up good?
