I appeared for IELTS second time and got 9/7.5/7/8 for LRWS and that got me to 448.

I am still contemplating about re-appearing for IELTS with the "hope" of getting RW to 8/8. If I manage to get that, then my CRS will get to 454. I have seen CRS cut off less than that even this year.

Is it worth spending another $215 and appearing for IELTS again or just hope that some PNP would open up and I would get a nomination?

Hi
I'm standing at 451 but will lose 5 points to age in a couple of months :-[ I'm just waiting for Ontario to reopen and hoping they will not change the criteria of 400+ points !

I am really scared of that too!

It is always beneficial having extra points.. I also read your previous post and would like to give you a boost that be optimistic. My observation and IRCCs statements state that the score will drop (may be in last couple of draws in 2016..).. They just have slowed down the process to be generous in their sayings about processing times..

So be patient and I wish you all get your ITA.

But if you think you could improve your score then don't wait.. Get it done..

Hope this is helpful!

Thanks,

Yes, but IELTS seems like a racket and unless I get a 8 in W, I can't get to CRS 454. 8 in W is impossible for me, IELTS expects some professional level writing probably. I dunno when will Canadian govt wake up and get the lame IELTS test out and PTE in.

Guys, there is already a lengthy thread on this topic here: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/ee-applicants-with-score-400-to-450-lets-connect-here-t287701.870.html

You mean anyone with an Express Entry profile can get a nomination from any province? I think one needs to apply to the province separately for a nomination.
