Today I received my PPR, and we will be sending the requested documents at the end of the month. From what I know it will only take me a month to receive COPR, and I would like to start planning and preparing for how I will cross the border.

I've been staying in Quebec with my husband while our application processed, and plan to stay in Quebec until the very last steps are completed. We only live 45 minutes from the border, and I'm wondering if we could go through the whole process my car? We would cross the border in the US and then immediately cross back into Canada. Will that be okay? Or would it be better to stay in the US for a few days?

I also have another option which would take place in late May where I would fly into the US to visit my family for a week or so, and then fly back. Which would be better?

both are fine, you might even leave your car on the canadian side, and walk over the border, turn back, "land as a PR", and get back into your car! like this you won't have to queue with the other cars, and get an inspection etc!
