So I am American and my husband is Canadian, but we have been living in the UK for 3 years while he studies here. We are planning to move to Canada and are completing the Spousal Sponsorship application. Because I am American and have lived both in the UK and the U.S. I have to get criminal record checks from both countries. Can anyone please advise how I go about getting an American criminal record check while in the UK? The FBI's website is less than clear on this!
