I've applied under the CEC class as a graduate. HOwever, saw my credit card statement today and it had a charge for "IMMIGRATION CANADA FSW SYDNEY NS"

Obviously, my application package clearly states CEC, but should I be concerned???? I would hate to be put into one pile when I belong in another.

Because CEC falls under Economic class, thats why it says FSW. It really doesn't matter.

Agree with PMM. The copy of my receipt they sent has something to the effect of "skilled worker/spouse, CL = 1" yet I applied under CEC as a single person. :D

cool.
if they charged my credit card, can I assume that my application was complete? Also, how long after they charge you the fees should I expect some sort of confirmation/AOR???

I think that's what it means. In my case, application received Sep 1st, bank draft cashed Sep 13th, AOR and medical request on Oct 11th or there about.
