It is a good news for you, CIC Charge only when your file gets initial approval at CIO. So, start collecting your documents to be submitted to Local Visa Office. You can receive the mail / letter anyday. Keep checking your spam box of e mail also, a lot of times CIO mail lands there.
Your wife should have been worried/ impatent if CIO had not charge CC,charging is happy news.

Credit card is charged by CIO not VO.

So you credit cards is charged now, next step: CIO will send AOR to VO, and you will get a copy of the same AOR.

Next step: you have to send all supporting documents with the letter you received from CIO as cover sheet.

After CC is charged, it will take about 1-1.5 months to get AOR. If you gave them your email address, you might get E-AOR

Hope it helped.

When did you apply? When did CIO got your application?

They have received it around the first week of May..And as I said, charged in August. Taking from the previous answers, I should expect a letter and email very soon..

thanks for all the answers,

Mike

Thanks for the reply, on this topic.
My credit card was actually charged by end of June.

Am I still ok with the time range?

CIO has received my application on Aug 26, 2010 and my credit card was charged on Sept 09, 2010. Still waiting an official response from CIO. Is somebody on same boat?

Hi, congrats on fast charging of your card! :

There is a thread here for post-June 26 applicants:
http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/applications-after-266-in-any-noc-connect-here-to-get-the-status-t49421.0.html

And there is a google spreadsheet here which we are updating ourselves as charges and AORs start to come in:

You may wish to contact asaif to be added to the spreadsheet :)

Hello everyone,

From the whole responses, it looks like mine is the longest.
My card was charged in June 26th
And until now, I have not recieved anything from them yet.

Is it still within the time range, or things are not going accordingly?

Have anyone experienced such?

The CIC website says that they are processing application receive before June 2010, So I think you should now keep checking your email.

Congrats meelas

It is quite surprising...that with in 2 weeks of receiving the application they have even charged the CC. That's really great. Just for my curiosity ... the NOC code mentioned in your time line is not under present 29 NOC list.... or have you applied under AEO category!! :)

Please join the following thread and give your basic details....we all will be in the same boat to help each other :D :D

Great work. I submitted my paper for Skilled work visa on 18th May 2010. they charged my credit card on 18th August 2010. So I guess CIO approved my application for further process. Anyone get the Acknowledgment of Receipt (AOR) from the CIO ?
