I'm sure this questions has been asked before but I can't really find the answer. About how long after DM should we expect to get the COPR? My Husband lives in South Carolina (if that makes any difference).

For us, our original COPR was postmarked the same day (Dec. 3) as eCAS updated to Decision Made. It went to my wife's US address and then had to get forwarded to Canada and didn't arrive until January 6. By that time we had assumed it had been lost and contacted CPC-Ottawa and they sent a new one to our Canadian address on December 24 which arrived about a week later which was quite impressive considering the holidays.

So, if our experience is anything to go, it should be fairly fast from DM to COPR in hand.

Awesome thank you!

I recently received a request for additional documents from Ottawa. They asked for my Quebec Selection Certificate as I intend to live in Quebec. It got me thinking though... Is a document request a sign that one's file is actually being looked at and is close to DM? I decided to look at some data... In the outland 2015 spreadsheet, I filtered so I was just looking at the Ottawa office. On average, of those who have received DM AND had a request for additional documents, the amount of time between those two dates was 45 days (median of 43 days). So is it just wishful thinking on my part or was the document request a sign of progress and am I nearing the end? Just curious what people think..

I landed October 5, still have yet to see my PR card. I just called the call centre and had to fight with him a little to have him actually look up my file vs. just telling me there are some delays, but he did look and saw it's still "processing" and hasn't even been sent yet and to give it another 3 weeks. Ughhhhhh. Funny back when I thought the 8 week wait time seemed like forever!

How did you get through to an agent? I haven been trying for the last several days and it keeps saying that due to the call volume they cannot transfer my call. After the first prompt for french I keep hitting 1 :)

We also haven't received our PR card yet, they said it takes 40 days, but the site says 87 now, it was 70 just a couple of weeks ago.

I started getting doc requests in September and got my DM November 5. Sounds like you may be in the home stretch. :)

I have ordered notes, since October, nothing has changed apart from the file being transferred in queue to be reviewed. And when they said they have “updated” his file, they never updated anything! They lied to me. They submitted it for review. So it is in a shelf somewhere waiting to be seen. So his application is going to rot there while I rot here with my injuries. I am so fed up. I am depressed and I don’t know what to do anymore. Everything is piling up on me and my life is just not ending with any bad luck. I am done.

Is that to review your evidence proving the kids in the pics are just his nieces/nephews? This really sucks for you, but it shows how just some random thing can cause a red flag and add months to an application. I am sure this will all be done with for you guys very soon. If I were you I would phone the hot line and enquire about your application once a week, and send a case-specific enquiry asking (politely) if they can continue to review your file. The hotline can put a note on your application that might trigger someone to pull it out of the pile, and the enquiry can't hurt.

One would assume. However there are people like me as well who got doc requests in October and are sitting here endlessly waiting.

Call in the morning, around 8am in whatever timezone you are in.

Panamai - Thanks! If you don't mind sharing, how many document requests did you get and what kind of info did they ask for? Just curious...

Sometimes the call volume thing happens to me too, I just keep trying at less busy times (early in the morning usually) and I can manage to get through. Yes, after French you will press 1 four times and then you will be transferred.

Yup, it was 71 when I landed. The agent told me that the new timeline of 80-whatever days applies to everyone still waiting regardless of when you landed :( But I'm at 100 days now sooo it's kinda crap. The processing time is so useless because even though I'm outside of the processing time, calling them isn't making them pick mine out of the pile, they just keep telling me to wait and someday eventually they'll get to it... -_- What's the point then?!
