I will not venture a guess. All this information says to me that the likelihood increases for DM's after Oct 15 if very little has happened before that date.

So I'm IP, but it still never showed under my Immigration Category that medicals were received/ I know I sent it in the app so there's no question about that, should this be cause for worry?

I've still to see the "Medical results were received..." line too.

If you look on the "2015 outland" spreadsheet there's a pretty noticeable number of folk who submitted around March who have never seen Medicals received in ECAS. I did however see someone a while ago post that they had queried it and CIC told them there had been a computer problem around that time with regards to the linking of eMedicals to applications but didn't seem to suggest there was anything to worry about and they were aware of it.

I resubmitted my medical receipt after the doc request on the 20th of August just in case but haven't heard anything back so I'm assuming all is well.

Yeah we've been IP since August the 7th.

It does seem like Ottawa have been pretty much asking everyone for proof of intent to return but it's so hard to tell. If you don't have anything new to submit I would definitely at least write a decent new cover letter explaining your situation and when you intent to return and how.

We were able to resubmit some details of a course my partner's signed up to do in Canada in January along with an offer of accommodation which didn't have back in February. It's not much but I guess CIC just want to see some evidence for intent of returning.

That email asking for proof of intent to return is totally generic and is going to everyone as far as I can tell. My wife has lived in Canada her entire life and we got the email. We sent a T4 statement and a copy of a utility bill. If you are out of the country though, I would definitely supply whatever you can to prove intent, even if you did it with the original application.

I didn't re-send anything else though - for the other questions I gave brief answers, such as medicals were received in the original application and show as received online, all fees were paid and the receipt number is XXXXXX, etc.

If anyone needs help with what is acceptable to send for the intent to reside, I'll tell you what I personally submitted when I got the generic letter:

1. An updated employment letter (sent one with the original app, but that was back in February so we got a newer one. My bf also got a raise since then which looks even better.)
2. A letter stating said salary increase
3. 3 recent statement of earnings
4. 2014 T4 (already submitted with the original app)
5. Joint lease for our apartment (already submitted with original app)
6. hydro bill
7. Internet bill
8. Property insurance for our apartment
9. Letter we got stating our rent was being increased
10. Proof we recently bought a condo
11. Receipt of deposit we placed on condo
12. Joint cat adoption paperwork (already submitted with original app)

I emailed it in PDF format and never got a response even when I emailed again asking if they received it. But I got a DM fine so that proof must have been sufficient.

Nice Chelly. I only submitted 2 back to back bank statements for the most recent month, and two letters from his College he's currently attending.

That sounds good. Honestly I think employment/college letters are the best proof out there. A person obviously can't be living in one country and working/attending school in another at the same time lol.

If we own an apartment in our place where we intend to live back in Canada but now we are working in the United States, how can we convince VO more about the fact that we will surely get back? A definite job offer might be too costly. You need to go on-site interviews and may be found being interviewed by other competitor companies by your boss. That may even destroy your current career...

We have provided the evidence of our plan to resume the residency in Canada in the application package, such as my wife has been looking for a job with some specific company as well as the email correspondences, and her mother's letter about wanting us back. Will VO ask for more solid proofs?

We've just received our Ready for COPR email with decision made, so Ottawa is alive and working. must land by 13 November, but we need to send our stuff to Sydney, even though we live in Europe (partner is Australian). And get the COPR back before he books a flight. Seems like a pretty tight time frame to us as they expect him to arrive in Canada in just over 1 month!!

We've just received our Ready for COPR email with decision made, so Ottawa is alive and working. must land by 13 November, but we need to send our stuff to Sydney, even though we live in Europe (partner is Australian). And get the COPR back before he books a flight. Seems like a pretty tight time frame to us as they expect him to arrive in Canada in just over 1 month!!

Ignore that, they gave us the incorrect landing date, we have until next September to land apparently. Phew! Feeling less stressed now.
