Wow that is very fast. Maybe your file is kept in Mississauga. They're processing a lot quicker than Ottawa. But I never heard that American cases are kept in Mississauga. Maybe I'm wrong.
I hope you're that lucky.

Yeah I was expecting to have it sent to Ottawa, but without that darn letter, I actually have no idea where my application is. I will be calling CIC on Monday if I don't get the letter by the end of the week. Wow if this is really true, I'm ecstatic!

So, wait!? You got your DM on August 1st and they mailed the COPR on July 31st?

Cool!!

You can call CIC and ask them if it has been mailed yet. I did this yesterday and they told me mine was mailed Friday!
If you have trouble getting information out of them, say your MP told you your application was approved and you need to know if your COPR has been mailed to arrange travel plans,

Should work like a charm!

Quite common actually. It all depends on when the case officer gets around to updating the system and then when the system is synced to eCAS (which is only synced once a week). My wife her COPR in her mailbox in the US one day after eCAS updated to DM (and we checked eCAS every day)

Did you (as sponsor) provide an email address in your application?

Most people don't get a physical letter but just an emailed .pdf to the sponsor's email address. So it's worth checking your spam folder if you haven't received anything.

I did provide my email and I check my spam folder daily. When I called the call centre the nice agent told me I would be receiving a letter in the mail. I told him I had provided my email but he said most often all decisions are sent by physical mail.

Final decisions (that is, the COPR or refusal) are sent by physical mail. Sponsorship decisions are most-often sent by e-mail. If the sponsor received an e-mailed AOR for the sponsorship portion of the application, then the sponsorship approval itself should most likely be e-mailed.

Alternately, you may be able to directly inquire about which visa office is processing the application. Absent the SA/file transfer-letter, you would after all need to know where to send a case-specific inquiry if you had to update documentation.

Hey guys, anyone know how I can check if CIC got my email with the requested proof of residence documents? Is that something the call centre would be able to answer for me? I sent it this past Saturday.

Okay nevermind on this, just checked ECAS and I see IP!!!!!!! Yay!!!!!!!! Hopefully not long now!

I never received an AOR for the sponsorship portion. For the longest time I didn't even know my UCI number. It's when I saw online that they said they were working on June 2nd 2015 applications that I called the call centre and talked to the agent. He told me I got approved for SA, he gave me my UCI number and he told me I would received a letter soon via mail. Physical mail because I actually asked him why I wouldn't get it by email since I had provided my email. On ECas it says correspondence was sent on July 28th, same day that I got SA.

Hello everyone i just check my ecas and it says in process :) so happy its moving :)

That "correspondence sent" line doesn't mean much - our SA side went to decision made on July 25, with correspondence sent on July 22. We still didn't have anything a week later, so I called and the agent verified the approval and said the letter hadn't been sent yet and that it might be a couple more weeks - then we got the email the next day.

Congrats! Sounds like a good day for Ottawa - hopefully we'll see more this week!

Thanks!! Definitely hope others receive some good news soon too :)

It's funny, just last night I was starting to get down about it all, regretting applying Outland because of my lack of work permit. Today's a new day, and I feel so optimistic and happy now :)

They definitely grabbed a chunk of us and got to work last week/this week.

Congrats on all you IP'ers. Won't be long now!! They worked on our so fast, I never even saw IP!

I've stopped checking ECAS obsessively and started checking my mailbox obsessively.

:)

In my case, the email telling me I got SA came nine days after eCAS said they sent correspondence. :o

Just checked my ecas. One more IP on the list. Can't believe we're actually getting there.... So happy..
