Aah, my mistake. Should I just wait for the consent form request, or re submit another request?

I think it says not to submit two requests at the same time but I'm not positive on that. You could always try to submit another one and see what happens.

All right. Unless someone can confirm to not submitting two requests I'll just wait a day or two and see if they email me.

I see. Is it unusual to not see a medical received update 4 months in? I sent everything all together, so it's a little worrisome. Do I need to contact somebody?

I applied in January and I still don't have "medical received" in my ecas. I've ordered notes twice though and I know they've reviewed mine and I passed, but my kids' medicals are still untouched. :p

yeah just wait for their request. , that's what we did too, not attaching the request form, after 3 or 4 days i think they email us about the consent form, and u just have to reply with the given application no.

Has anyone gotten AOR2 from Ottawa, or do they tend to not update until it's in process? On average, how long did it take from Stage 1 SA to your application going into in process?

Ottawa does not send a separate acknowledgement of receipt. Processing times vary, some have gone "in process" within three months of sponsorship approval whereas others have waited for eight to ten months.

I checked my step-son's Ecas yesterday - "application received" as it's been for months.

Checked just now - "Decision Made"!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YAYYYYYY!!!!!!

So emailing the documents requested a week ago rather than waiting to mail the originals was the right call!!!

Off to update the spreadsheet!!!

Are COPRs taking a long time, even if it's just mailed with no PPR involved?

I would have thought it would take 10 days or so?

It seems variable. Some receive a COPR within a few days, others wait significantly longer. In my case I had 'decision made' posted to my ECAS as of June 30th, but the COPR was not mailed until July 20th/21st.

You can call CIC and ask them if it has been mailed yet. I did this yesterday and they told me mine was mailed Friday!
If you have trouble getting information out of them, say your MP told you your application was approved and you need to know if your COPR has been mailed to arrange travel plans,

Should work like a charm!

Hi, first time posting but have been watching these forums for a while

My husband is American, and they received our application first week of Nov, 2014. Stage 1 was complete in Jan, and just today the status changed to In Progress. We are very excited, nervous, and hopeful.

I was wondering how long most people have waited until they got a DM after they went IP?

Hey guys, anyone know how I can check if CIC got my email with the requested proof of residence documents? Is that something the call centre would be able to answer for me? I sent it this past Saturday.

Congrats on your IP. It would say it won't be long anymore. I've waited 7 days. Some wait a bit longer. Sit tight, it will come to you very soon!(:

Hi All...Question!

Alright so husband is American. I applied on June 1st and got a DM on July 28th for SA. When I called CIC they told me I had been approved and to wait for the letter (still waiting). Anyways, so I log on to ECas today...and it says In Process for Permanence Residence...Is that not too fast?! I'm like so confused right now!

Wow that is very fast. Maybe your file is kept in Mississauga. They're processing a lot quicker than Ottawa. But I never heard that American cases are kept in Mississauga. Maybe I'm wrong.
I hope you're that lucky.
