Question for anyone who has landed already...

My husband landed at Toronto Pearson last night.. Everything went really smooth. They issued his SIN number ,but apparently they are getting rid of the actual cards! Now we are expected to memorize our number...seems strange. Also, they could have cared less about his B4 forms. I'm just worried because they didn't sign or stamp his goods to follow list?! I don't want there is be any issues when we try to being the rest of his stuff here? Anyone have any insight?

Thanks!

Landed today at Lewiston-Queenston!!!! It went smoothly, but we had a bit of a wait inside the building. The car export was really easy and the border part of the import went smoothly too. Just waiting for RIV form 2 to be emailed then we are off to Canadian tire for the inspection. Not sure whether I should switch my license before the inspection? Does it matter?

Good luck to everyone waiting... Hang in there, your time will come!

The email was sent today morning. I scanned and sent them, but not sure they want original documents. It doesn't say in the email.

If they didn't specify, they don't need originals.

Thank you.

I don't know why, but CIC just replied to my old email asking about my status.

"
Hello,

Your application is still in queue to be reviewed by an officer.

Kind Regards,"

I really want to know how they process applications...

I have been checking ECAS daily. Today, June 15 early morning (Sunday) the status finally changed from 'Application Received' to 'Decision Made' (DM).

"We started processing your application on June 12, 2014....
A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision."

I think this is good news!! :) We had already received PPR on May 30, 2014.

Now I am wondering if they will mail the COPR directly to my address in US, or to our lawyer's office in Toronto. The lawyers address is set as mailing address.

Wishing others on the forum best of luck and hope you receive the visa quickly as well...

Thanks!

Normal practice is to send it to your representative.

Congratulations on finishing the process. Best wishes as a Permanent Resident of Canada.

Maybe it will not negatively affect your application however your MP may not be inclined to enquire just yet as your application is still within the published guidelines. I suspect that you are very close to hearing from CIC soon so hold on for a little bit longer. Meanwhile ordering your electronic notes may be informative.

Sorry, but what is MP? I've been waiting for 9 months now and all I hear back from CIC is that my application is "still in queue to be reviewed by an officer."

Average processing time for Ottawa is 15 months, so you are still within the time frame.
MP is Member of Parliament but he/she usually won't help you as long as you are still within the 15 months processing time

Congrat! So your status change directly from 'Application Received' to 'Decision Made'? I thought the standard status change flow should be 'Application Received' ->'In process'->'Decision Made'
