One step closer, our ECAS changed to "in process" today...don't want to get too excited because this step may take another 2 months
just you watch....it will arrive any day!

Sounds like for some of the photos, they are complaining that you did not put the date of when the photos are taken on the back of the photo. I know this can be a requirement for some applications, depending on your nationality (like Pakistan for example).

Crap :(

I didn't write any date or name on some of the photo shoot.

Thank you!!

hii everyone
Me and my parents are sponsored by my elder brother in 2008
i am dependent i was 18 year old in 2008 when brother filed family immigration case.
We sent our medicals on 6 November 2012 and were expected to b expire on 6 November 2013 but till 20 october 2013 there was not any responce by CIC so we asked to MP on call that whats going on so he replied that validity of our medicals got extend by our immigration officer for 3 months and then after few days on 31st October 2013 our lawyer got PPR email in which written that You are required to submit your passport(s), photographs along with a copy of this letter by MAIL within the next THIRTY (30) days from the date of this letter. As the validity of your visa(s) has been already established and is limited to a fixed date, it CANNOT be extended under any circumstances. We therefore urge you to read and follow carefully the instructions below without delay:
as my parents are already in Canada as Visitor so they asked original passports for them and photocopy of mine as i am out of canada with photographs and fill form of eyecolor ,hieght etc
we sent all this via MAIL on 14 November 2013
and still waiting for passports and my original passport request
does anyone have idea whats going on with our case ??
please reply all and if someone is going through similar situation need your views about it
our VO is Los Angeles
thanks

Hey KOKORAIS. It shows that you have passed Eligibility which is a very important step as I know they are doing security and criminality checks. Does it help? What does your medical say?

"State: Recommend Success"

Which means "passed"

So your eligibility is passed. Generally that means they are ready to request the passport.

I have a question- With an outland application can I leave Canada and return while the application is in progress? My main concern is, if I am denied entry back into Canada, will it cause a problem with the application? Wouldn't being deemed inadmissible cause a problem?

If you become inadmissible for criminal reasons it would impact you. If it is the fear of overstay, it won't.

Criminal inadmissibility would require a TRP to overcome.

well I guess I am no longer an LA office applicant. When we got our SA a month after our application was sent, we got an email saying our application would be in the LA office. My wife sent a change of address for me and this is the response we got back.

"Your message was forwarded to our office by the visa office in Los Angeles. Please note that your spouse's application is being processed at the Case Processing Pilot – Ottawa; it will only be transferred to Los Angeles should it be determined that an interview or other complex case review is required."

This isn't a problem but the weird thing is ... I overnighted a certified package to the Los Angeles office in November with change of address and my FBI background check ( since I used a Channeler with the original app and said I'd send my FBI one when it came). They changed all the mailing info on the CIC page. Weird eh?

I requested notes on Dec 15 so I guess I should be getting some info soon.

Hi OKLandman,

We were in a similar situation- I sent my original FBI certificate to Ottawa after it came in, and of course 2 days later my husband got a letter in the mail saying they had forwarded our app to LA. Our case is pretty straightforward so I wasn't sure why they would have suddenly done that. I emailed them to find out where it actually was and if the FBI certificate would be forwarded accordingly if it was actually in LA. They replied and said the file was still in Ottawa and the documents had been received and attached. Looks like we got the letter by accident, who knows why they sent yours to LA first and then forwarded it on!

Keep us posted! This will be the year we all get our visas! :)
