I have a question of proof of medical examination here.
I'm filing the sponsorship application outside of Canada.
For the proof of medical examination for the sponsored person, the checklist asked us send Copy 1 of Medical Report: Client Biodata and Summary (IMM 1017) However, the doctor in the clinic says they don't issue that. In the end we only got a small piece of receipt from the clinic.

Can we send the receipt for the proof of the medical examination? If yes, do we have to send the original one or just the photocopy of the receipt?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Cecilia,

Was it a single sheet of paper with a picture of your spouse and a "UMI" number on it? If so, that's what you need to send. Ours had a section at the bottom saying "You have completed your health examinations prior to applying for a visa. Please make sure that you attach this letter to your visa application before submitting the form to Citizenship and Immigration Canada."

It confused me as well because I kept looking for something that said IMM 1017 on it.

IMM 1017 is the form that non-e-medical doctors will use. E-medical enabled panel physicians get a unique number (IME #) and that's enough to permit CIC to match up the IME # with the application.

I ll be highly appreciate if someone can answer my few questions, my wife sponsored me in Feb 2013 and I m living in united states as student and everything went pretty good my interview got waived off on August 2013 and we sent whatever the documents they required within a few days after but unfortunately because my password issued here from indian high commission Washington D. C. , it got expired last year so they issued me new one due to that passport the Canadian immigration sent me letter that I don't require visa because I come under regulation 190 and I don't require visa sticker and they required only Photostat copies of my passport and landing fee but I sent them e mail after that I am not a American green card holder and I require visa stamp on my passport and I waited for there response for almost more than 2 months and they didn't reply to me any of my query's so after my wife and her family went to MP's office and then they did reply back to honorable MP that my file is transferred to LA and I may require interview. Could any one please suggest that is that normal procedure or its something complicated and I believe never happened to anyone. interview is not a issue for me but I just want to know normally how much time they going to take to send me letter for interview.
thanks

CONGRATS!! I have added your COPR date but I cannot edit the color on the spreadsheet because it won't allow me on my ipad. I will do it tomorrow when I get on my comp. :) Good luck landing!!

Hi everyone,

This is my friend's case. She (applicant) is not in this forum but I just want to let you know this with her permission. Hope you find it informative.

Category.........: FAM
Visa Office.......: Manila / CPP-O
App. Filed........: 10-April-2013
AOR Received...: 27-April-2013 (for sponsor)
File Transfer.....: 13-May-2013
Med's Done......: 26-March-2013
Interview.........: waived
Passport Req....: waived (she submitted the scanned all passport pages with her application)
VISA ISSUED....: 25-October-2013

COPR received..: 11-November-2013

Initially her application was transferred to Manila according to the letter to her sponsor, but in the middle of October when she contacted to them to change her mailing address, they told her that CPP-O has her application (that's her requested VO actually). When she emailed to CPP-O, they replied they have hers and said "please let me know where we should send your Confirmation of Permanent Residence in your country or Canada." That was in the end of October she said.

Her ECAS said CIC started processing her application on October 24, 2014. She doesn't know when is the decision made as she didn't look it quite often.

Thanks!

My girlfriend (Canadian citizen) and I (Australian citizen, in Canada on IEC) noticed that the wait time at the Ottawa-CPP jumped from 14 months to 15.

We're considering the possibility of sending our PR application through to Sydney instead. In this case, if we get called for an interview (which we think is unlikely given the amount of proof of our relationship), is it possible to request a different city to do the interview in?

No - that's the downside to requesting Sydney. An interview would be in Sydney.

Keep in mind that the time published on the CIC website is for 80% of applications. If your application is straight-forward and low risk, you should look at the 50% time (which is published in the open data project - Data.gc.ca, look up the "top datasets" and the immigration dataset is # 1 last I checked...) I seem to recall that's 8 months for CPP-O.

Hi guys!

I'm already In the October applicants but thought I would add my info here as well!

Application received: oct 21
AOR: Nov 5
SA: Nov 5
File transferred:nov 5
VO: Ottawa

This thread has gotten quieter since the end of the strike. :( Seems like everything came to a screeching halt all of a sudden...I know it's only been a month since I got PPR but it just seems like it is taking FOREVER. Sigh.

Almost 2 months since our ppr but I think the loss of immigration photos put us backwards. Tracking shows CIC got the new photos today so maybe we will get a movement forward. It's a shame it took them over a month from ppr to realize they needed new pics. Still not sure why but hey who knows. Hoping the COPR
comes next week.

Well you must be very close now to receiving COPR documents in your regular mail, I have noticed that if you are using an address in the USA that it will take a little longer than if you are using a Canadian address. I am sure that you will receive the happy news very soon judging by the time line of others on the Ottawa spreadsheet. :D

I'm with you. It's been a month since I got a decision made. It's killing me waiting to either get approval or rejection.

I know what you mean...we got passport request from ottawa on Aug 12....sent that in along with original copy of FBI report)he accidently sent in a copy) proof of our communication.....then in beginning of October foudn out doctor and immigration lost his medical, so he redid that and according to the gcms notes they have received everything and his application was pending transfer of medicals....looks like everything went into process 10/31...now we wait and wait and wait...starting to get all depressed again....not good at waiting...just want it to be over :(

Hi ,

I got my visa stamped and passport returned on Nov 14, 2013. CPP-Ottawa returned my passport to my consultant based in Toronto instead of sending back to me in USA.
