From my understanding it can take a couple of weeks or even more to go regular mail from US to Canada. It will be there soon. Good luck!!

OK...I don't know why it take so long...In two weeks I got letter from back home....LA is right here...lol

Congrats on DM! Are they requiring us to send in physical passports again? I thought you were able to email a scanned copy?

Not at all! A lot of people get DM without a PPR. They must feel they don't need your PP. They would not give a DM if it is bad news. It looks like COPR is on it's way. Congrats!!

Hey.. I finally got a PPR today.. But my passport is with canadian ny consulate for work permit .. So i cant submit it to ottawa till i receive it . . So i am still waiting.. What a wait..

Does anyone know what happened to IvanP? Curious to know if he's a PR yet? I'd like to wish him well! Thanks :)

Thanks - all is well, just been very busy! I haven't become a PR (and never will) because I'm the citizen sponsor, but my wife and kids landed in the end of August (just a few hours after COPR arrived in the mail).

Moving was a huge, huge pain, but we're finally getting more or less settled and into a routine.

Glad to look through these pages and see that other people have been gradually making progress!

It will be there soon. Try to be patient. I am waiting not so patiently myself, I still haven't heard from my attorney. For all I know he has my COPR and is not contacting me. Very frustrating!! >:(

Woke up this morning to Decision Made!!! :D
They say they started processing application on Sept 16. Does this mean COPR was sent out on the 16th?
Thanks for any clarification!!

CONGRATS!!!! I'm not sure if that is when COPR is mailed or when they forward it on to whoever issues COPR. I wish I knew the answer too. :)

For those who have a lawyer in care of your files, I believe the COPR gets sent to them and the lawyer forwards it to you. That's how my experience went though every office is different. My lawyer overnighted it to me via FedEx. :)

I have a lawyer and I emailed him a week ago telling him my status changed to DM and to please keep an eye out for COPR. He has yet to email me back. I'm NOT happy!! >:( >:(
