I hear you! I've given up hope that my status will ever say anything different than "application received", even if I receive COPR.

I'd like to know if there are any reported cases of people receiving COPR while still stuck on "application received". If there are, then I'd hold out some (slight) hope the maybe my wife's COPR is in the mail. Seems like most do get flipped to "decision made" however.

LOL...welcome to NN05116. I think you might be right. The only two officers in Ottawa might be SB01716 and NN05116 and SB01716 seems to have taken the summer off.

AL0025 is hanging around back there somewhere. ;)

Shylox received her COPR in the regular mail without even a PPR. I don't recall if hers went to DM before or after she received it.

Mine flipped to DM the day I received the COPR (and then flipped back to "In Process" two weeks later).

I can't remember user names, but there have been 2-3 other people that never got PPR, including someone from the London VO (so it isn't just an Ottawa thing).

lol - I guess you can't count on anything regarding eCAS!

It's been a month and 2 days for my wife since PPR and no update (on eCAS). I'm thinking of ordering notes. Too soon? What do you folks think? I am also thinking of e-mailing the case officer again. I feel a bit bad doing this because I did get an e-mail back to my last query on June 27th saying "we got everything we need, thanks". I don't want to bug them too much where I annoy them (which I sure does not help push things along), especially since they seem to comment they appreciate keeping communication to a minimum. What do you folks think?

I don't think sending an e-mail would hurt, I think he/she would only get annoyed if they get requests to do more than what they are assigned to do, and we have every right to ask! Its also been quite some time since your last correspondence. Let me know how it goes. Fingers crossed!

I'm in the same boat. It's been 98 days since I got my PPR and 58 days since they acknowledged receipt of my passport (had to send it again because they lost the one I sent in May). We finally ordered notes last week. I'm a little worried because my medical expires in a couple of weeks and I will absolutely flip my sh*t if they want me to take another.

I get that processing times are ~14 months, but the delays are clearly a case of ineptitude on their end. Our case is a straight forward Canadian/US marriage where we met each other in university (so no "internet" relationship) and 1) It took nearly 3 months for us to get sponsorship approval; 2) They lost the passport I sent on May 8 and tried to imply that I never sent it; 3) they've now had 2 months since they acknowledged receipt of the passport. 3 strikes and you're out Ottawa. Something tells me that if I dealt with my clients the same way, I'd be out of a job in little time.

Sorry, forget to report back. I got my visa March 20, 2013, and landed May 15. Everything is smooth:)

Yay! Congratulations!!! Wow, you waited a long time to tell us!! Guess you are having too much fun enjoying life! Good for you!

Yeah I'm still at "Application Received" and we got PPR 20 days ago - with an additional request for financial proof 4 days after we received PPR - still nothing on ECAS - but our case officer responded to our email within five minutes of sending it requesting they confirm they received all documents - which they did.

Blah. Waiting sucks BALLS.

We're all in the same boat it appears. I've decided to wait until the beginning of next week before ordering notes. Just trying to be patient.

Hey everyone,

So my husband just got a call from CIC he has an interview on August 27th and the lady said something about tribunal jurisdiction so they have to contact the Birmingham office and they will also contact the birth mother of my step daughter who is such a difficult person. What does this all mean? Are they just checking the validity of our relationship???
