My wife has the same case officer as you! I found this person to be fairly responsive with replying to e-mails. I also got a similar message when i asked if he/she got everything ok.

ALLY06 - what is your eCAS status? My wife is still suck at "Application Received". I'm hoping the officer is good at responding to e-mails but doesn't update eCAS as much (meaning my progress is much further along than "Application Received").

Ha, when I originally received PPR that was my case processor as well. According to the latest email though stating my application is now in process my officer is NNO5116. *shrug* Sounds like SB01716 is a popular fellow. :) He/she was good about responding to my email after PPR letting them know I already submitted my background check when another was requested. He/she said they would look into it and let me know, but I never heard back. Perhaps my case was delegated to someone else shortly after.

*gulp*. Considering all the delays you dealt with, makes me nervous that SB01716 is my wife's officer. Hopefully he/she wasn't the bottleneck...

The last officer to write us back a few weeks ago was:

Case Processing Pilot - Ottawa | Centre de Traitement Pilote – Ottawa –NN05116

But for PPR back in June it was - Case Processing Pilot - Ottawa | Centre de Traitement Pilote – Ottawa - AB00222

Well that's promising!! My fingers are crossed.

The officer IDs are interesting. Maybe we can add them to the spreadsheet?

Come on SB01716! I will be forever grateful if you can push the application through!

lol, I know, sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Like I said though, perhaps my case was reassigned before he/she was able to respond back to me on whether they were able to find my background check or not. I have no idea the inner workings of immigration of course, but that would be my guess considering everyone else who has had the same officer has had good correspondence and initially I did as well. I guess somewhere along the way my application fell into a black hole between officers. ;)

Man, just a year ago this was what I got (July 2012)

Case Processing Pilot - Ottawa | Centre de Traitement Pilote - Ottawa - 106

Case Processing Pilot - Ottawa | Centre de Traitement Pilote - Ottawa - 121

Must have hired a lot more people since then :P

Hmmm...it is a bit interesting that all 3 of our cases included an additional request for the FBI check when we recieved our PPR! I did not include the original certificate but luckily had it with me and mailed that same day with PP copy. I e-mailed asking I should still send in my original or if I need to apply for a new one (since it had expired). Our officer wrote back saying that I do not need to apply for a new one *whew*

I would take proof of a home and job in Canada as well, if you can. Showing you own a home helps convince most border patrol you have something to return to.

I don't own a home...I live in my mum's basement apartment

I just noticed this too. Maybe our particular VO gets the applications that are initially "missing" the FBI check letter? When there is a team, it is common to divvy up certain tasks to certain people - basically specialization. Helps with organization.
