So what did you put for "adequate financial arrangements for care and support for yourself"? My current company has offices on both sides of the border and they are willing to let me transfer when PR goes through, should I put that?

We sent:

-Updated Tax forms (both of us)
-Hubby letter of employment
-Interview offer letter for me

I'm keeping my fingers crossed and I hope they get back to me tomorrow, it's coming on 2 weeks with no response.

Decision Made today. Waiting nervously on the mail!

Congrats Amikety! I'm hoping we hear something soon we got the financial requests at the same time. Keeping my fingers crossed. :)

Actually received a response email from CIC last night letting me know my case is "in process". Hope it is true!! Maybe we are actually getting somewhere again. Come on COPR!! :P

Oh, forgot to say, also like Ivan, my status on ECAS still says "application received" even though I got the email it is in process. REALLY hoping that is COPR waiting for you at home, Ivan, because then hopefully for us we are about a month away from COPR as well. *fingers crossed*

After how long does CIC usually reply emails ? I emailed them about any update about week ago and no reply. Do you guys need to email them couple of time till they respond ?

At the bottom of my PPR email:

Thank you for the interest you have shown in Canada.

Sincerely,

Case Officer AL00025

A very low number - that appears to indicate a senior officer (or at least one who has had an account in GCMS for a very long time). That's the lowest number I've seen.

It seems highly variable. And it probably depends on the VO. We have been fortunate as our VO has been fairly responsive. The one time where we received no response, we sent one follow up e-mail after 9 days and then got a response 3 days later (saying "yes, we got the document")

I was surprised as well. I figured I got the little old lady who has worked there for 40+ years and decorates her desk with cat figurines.

Hi all,
We mailed out our application few days ago and this morning it was received by vegreville! Amikety can u please add me to the spreadsheet, application received on july 30th! Thats it for now, hopefully a stressfree process and lets hope that the IO for my case is not allergic to cats ( caught our cat sitting on them lol).

I emailed them Thursday, July 25th and received the response around 10:30 last night. My husband emailed them to inquire as well last month and we never heard back. When he called CIC though they said maybe no response because he was not the applicant so that's why I decided to email my self. I also emailed back in March to let them know when we had sent additional required documents and passport photos to see if they needed anything else, but there was no response. I guess it's just a guessing game. Or like Ivan said, perhaps they don't respond until your case is actually in motion. At the beginning of the month we asked our MP to inquire as to what the status of our application was since at had been 4 months since PPR and our MP said they were told it was not touched yet, so perhaps that is also why they did not respond to my husband since they had nothing to report. Who knows.

I did notice though that the code of the immigration officer changed in this email compared to the email when I received PPR, so perhaps my case has been given to somebody else now.

I just wrote them again today asking if they got the documents they requested we send. They sent us some generic email saying our case was in progress and we would be contacted if they needed anything, but did not answer my question as to if they received the documents. So today I wrote them a nice email asking again if they received what they needed. Then I went into a polite story about how my hubby's work permit has expired, he is on implied worker status awaiting the lmo and extension decision, I am pregnant so he needs to keep working, he has no OHIP etc. Hoping this may help our case and not just annoy the officer!! Fingers crossed. Got PPR on June 12 and haven't heard a peep since... Ecas still says Application Received...

I've had about four different "codes" on my correspondence, one of which was on two separate emails. Seems to me like files aren't worked on by a single individual (that would be way too productive for CIC), but rather are shuffled around the office.

Please don't take offense....

Maybe your file is the office bicycle? Everyone has to take a ride?

Hi there!

If you're going through Vegreville, you won't be using the Ottawa office :P You should post in the Inland 2013 section. They have a spreadsheet for Inland (Vegreville) applicants.
