Question on eCAS.... I now can see that my wife has her own eCAS entry with her own UCI number. During the processing her application, do they update just her eCAS entry or mine (the sponsor) also?

Thanks!

I'm my husband's sponsor. The only thing I would see in my ECAS were things related to my sponsorship. Anything related to your wife's application shows up under her ECAS info.

If you log in under your name, you'll see both the sponsorship application and the permanent residency application. If you log in under her name, you'll just see the permanent residency application. So, for all intents and purposes, it doesn't really matter which one you use because "decision made" on the sponsorship application isn't going to change, and the permanent residency application status will change under both the sponsor and principal applicant's names.

Or, maybe ECAS is inconsistent not just in when it's updated, but also how. My UCI definitely shows both sponsorship and PR applications, while my wife's shows just the PR application.

I'm thinking of changing my wife's address to mine in Canada so we potentially get the COPR faster (and also I trust my local postal service more). But we had PPR a week ago. I'm also thinking it is a bit risky to change things now since I have no idea if they are about to issue it or not and if a sudden change of address would foul things up. Any input is appreciated.

Thanks!

Sorry to hear. Did they at least get back to you to let you know if they looked into it?

I'm not out of the woods yet myself. No peep since sending in copy of PP a week ago. I won't relax until COPR is in physically her hands. Thanks for the well wishes and I hope you and Ivan get some resolution soon!

No, never responded after saying they would look into it. Never responded to the two emails we sent after that.

A week is not so bad. I thought you were waiting longer. Hopefully you will have a normal timeline for COPR and receive it in a couple weeks. :)

Ivan, I was unaware that I (the applicant) had my own login for ecas...I have always been logging under my sponsor. How do I find my own ecas login?

Thanks!

You can use your UCI number or the application number for the principal applicant login. But it's all the same info after sponsorship approval, so it really doesn't matter which login information you use.

Ally, To log in under the PA you should have a file number (starts with an F) You would have gotten this with your SA. It shows the UCI# at the Top and then the Application Number under it. Use the Application number and then put all of your information in the rest of the boxes and it should log you in. It shows less than the Sponsor's account but it is your unique account.

I emailed Ottawa like 3 times but got no response on my PR status :( All I wanna know is what's going on:(

Unfortunately, if they don't respond, generally the answer to your question is "nothing". When they start responding, it usually means that your application is on someone's desk, in a more "active" processing stage.

Wow, I don't mind waiting but knowing at least my status would be nice. Thanks Ivan, my patience is climbing to another level.

Landed :-* :-* :-*and also got a miracle importation for my car. Though my car is already here in Canada but I had it on goods to follow and to my surprise the officer decided to import it right away since I had my title with me. I thought I was suppose to fax it to the U.S side 72hrs before exporting but am glad I met a very nice officer that decided to by pass all that and just import it no question asked. Good luck to everyone else that's still waiting for their own miracle.

I received an email requesting more documents. One of them is the photo

"Passport photos: Passport size photographs (photographs must conform to the specifications outlined in the Guide to Immigrating IMM 3999 and Appendix B Photo Specifications)"

However, Appendix B says "immigration photo is different from passport photo".... so which photo should I send? passport size or immigration size?

thank you!
