Congrats!lalune117 said:Fed-Ex just left my house! I officially have the COPR in my own hands now! I'll be landing on the 26th of August! ;D
Files are forwarded for a number of reasons, but the primary reason is an interview. It's not the only reason, though.MistahFixIt said:Goofy question: Once my sponsorship is approved, and my applicant's file is shipped to CPP-O, does Ottawa then forward that application to a VO in the USA, or does the application stay solely at the CPP-O?
The application did ask to specify a preferred VO (in this case, New York, NY) so... does that only matter in the case of being called in for an interview?
Sorry to hear. Did they at least get back to you to let you know if they looked into it?rsjkd427 said:Our stories are very similar. I was asked the same thing only when I replied letting them know I had already sent my background check they said to hold off on ordering another one and they would look into it. Good thing I ordered anyway, because I never heard back. That was Feb 8. No COPR since. Not a peep.
My husband thinks we are in the same boat as Ivan and perhaps our file was switched to a new immigration officer and that's why we never received a response to that email or any afterwards. Who knows. Hope you receive your COPR soon. That would give me a glimmer of hope.
Here is my story......jwa007 said:Long time lurker, first time poster.
Here's my story...
11/17/12 - Application sent
11/20/12 - Application received
02/11/13 - Sponsorship Approval/Transferred to CPP Ottawa
05/08/13 - PPR; Passport scanned and emailed; Received automatic confirmation of receipt
06/13/13 - I email CPP Ottawa for status
06/14/13 - Receive email from Ottawa that they did not receive my passport notwithstanding the fact that I got an automated acknowledgment of receipt on 05/08/13; Resend passport scan and request acknowledgment of receipt from live person
06/17/13 - Receive acknowledgment of receipt of passport
07/02/13 - Wife contacts MP's office to inquire about the situation
07/03/13 - MP's office informs us that medicals have passed but they haven't completed security check and everything is "in process"
07/18/13 - Still waiting, ECAS still only says "application received"
Sorry for venting, but this is unbelievable. We're a Canadian/US couple, and I haven't lived overseas except for college (at McGill). I don't understand the reasons for the delay.
I wish I could blame it on myself, it would be a bit easier to accept the delay.Kumin said:Here is my story......
11/19/2011----Application received at Buffalo.
05/10/2013----PPR from CPP-O on the same day scanned PP and emailed
06/26/2013----- Scanned PP and emailed again (I noticed that my original reply did not have my application number quoted in the subject box and thought this could be the problem in getting a reply,as it seems longer than expected to receive any notice of what is further required)
07/03/2013----ECAS had changed to Decision Made
07/12/2013---COPR received
07/13/2013---Landed
Here is my PPR email from CPP-O
Please quote your complete application number on your correspondence and address your correspondence to CPP-O at the address indicated below.
(Sorry as I am not native English speaker but I thought this could be the reason for delay )
I hope this helps.
Just monitor your home address in ECAS.. When it gets updated to Canadian city , province .. That's the day they will mail your COPR.FAM_Applicant said:Hi all,
For those who received their COPR. How long does it take after asking copy of the passport ? Does ECAS has to change to decision made first ?
Did you guys get some statement that interview was waived first ?
Thanks.
I thought a lot of people recently getting COPR said their address never did change on e-cas... maybe some of those people getting DM in the past few weeks can let us know if their address ever did change.shanmba1174 said:Just monitor your home address in ECAS.. My address changed after the fact, so I don't think that really matter. But to answer your question my ecas changed to DM a week after ppr. Got ppr June 28, DM July 5, copr was mailed out July 8 and received in Canada July 17.IslandAnnie said:I thought a lot of people recently getting COPR said their address never did change on e-cas... maybe some of those people getting DM in the past few weeks can let us know if their address ever did change.
