Has your address is ECAS changed? My hubby's COPR was sent the same day as yours....
Where is his going?

He didn't need to change his address. His COPR is going to San Diego. How about yours?

Hello all,
I've been away from this forum for a bit but just wanted to give people an update.

If people recall, I was the one where my wife got an e-mail about needing a police (FBI) clearance letter even though we sent one in with the original application. We followed up with an e-mail saying it was originally there while in the meantime why wife re-did her prints and requested another letter from the FBI. Fortunately, they e-mailed back a few days later (July 12 Friday) saying they found it! whew! Computergeek, you nailed it! They then asked for some clarification on two answers in her application and also for a scanned copy of my wife's passport. I assume this is PPR. We replied in the evening of that same day. Since then, no response. I am assuming (hoping?) that her answers were satisfactory and they have everything else they need and now anxiously waiting for the COPR.

I see some people who get some notice saying COPR was mailed out. Did the VO send an e-mail on their own or did you have to ask them for an update before they sent it out?

Thanks all!

I emailed them for updates and got a response 2 days later that it was mailed on July 9. Though I kinda knew they must have mail it out when my ecas changed to decision made a week after ppr.

Thanks. So far ecas has the application still as 'Application Received'. It hasn't quite been a week yet since PPR so hopefully I'll see an update soon. I guess I'll try and be patient for a few more days and look for an ecas update before bugging them.

Ivan, what you're dealing with has me nervous about my hubby's COPR..
I mean they say that they sent it, but that doesn't mean anything

I guess it meant they actually sent it! Congratulations - you're now purple on the spreadsheet!

Our stories are very similar. I was asked the same thing only when I replied letting them know I had already sent my background check they said to hold off on ordering another one and they would look into it. Good thing I ordered anyway, because I never heard back. That was Feb 8. No COPR since. Not a peep.

My husband thinks we are in the same boat as Ivan and perhaps our file was switched to a new immigration officer and that's why we never received a response to that email or any afterwards. Who knows. Hope you receive your COPR soon. That would give me a glimmer of hope.

Long time lurker, first time poster.

Here's my story...

11/17/12 - Application sent

11/20/12 - Application received

02/11/13 - Sponsorship Approval/Transferred to CPP Ottawa

05/08/13 - PPR; Passport scanned and emailed; Received automatic confirmation of receipt

06/13/13 - I email CPP Ottawa for status

06/14/13 - Receive email from Ottawa that they did not receive my passport notwithstanding the fact that I got an automated acknowledgment of receipt on 05/08/13; Resend passport scan and request acknowledgment of receipt from live person

06/17/13 - Receive acknowledgment of receipt of passport

07/02/13 - Wife contacts MP's office to inquire about the situation

07/03/13 - MP's office informs us that medicals have passed but they haven't completed security check and everything is "in process"

07/18/13 - Still waiting, ECAS still only says "application received"

Sorry for venting, but this is unbelievable. We're a Canadian/US couple, and I haven't lived overseas except for college (at McGill). I don't understand the reasons for the delay.

Welcome to the club. We applied July 2012. If you would have told me a year ago I'd still be waiting I wouldn't have believed you. I guess it's good your MP at least told you your file is "in process". According to ours they "haven't gotten to it yet". Whatever that means. ;)

Hope you hear something soon. My fingers are crossed for you!

Fed-Ex just left my house! I officially have the COPR in my own hands now! I'll be landing on the 26th of August! :D ;D
