HI All,
Congrats to all who have had progress. It comes in bursts it seems. Planning to land next week (Yea!) and working on the B4. Any ideas on how to value items? Especially things like books and clothing, that may have been around for a while. Or can anyone direct me to where I can find the info. I've printed out the info at the beginning of this forum, just looking for additional info.

I am the Canadian sponsor (I have been living in the US with my husband) and I am moving back to Canada next month and my husband will follow when he gets PR. I've been completing my forms and I've been using values for used items that would currently be found at a thrift store, ebay or craigslist.

Added! Did they just ask you to redo medicals, or did they simultaneously send you a PPR?
Sorry you got stuck in the Buffalo vortex!

no they didnt send me PPR.
the email they sent was super vague, it wasnt one of those " your file has been transferred to and received by CPPO, we need medicals from you because either you didnt send them or they have expired+ case status blah blah" emails. it was just "please see attached docs regarding your PR app" and the attached docs were an explanation letter stating i was at the point in processing that i needed medicals done, and a medical record form.

The only reason I say to be wary, is because our Service Canada office took down the POE, plus the ID number of the border officer.

I don't see the one near me being that thorough. They didn't do that when I got my work permit even. They just saw I had a work permit and were pretty satisfied with that.

We received COPR today!! The email technique apparently does work. Looks like sometimes they just need a little kick in the behind. No plans on landing yet. My husband has to put in his 2 weeks in the states but I will let you know how landing goes.

Thanks for the support everyone and good luck to everybody!

That's exactly what the email I received looked like. Came through my attorney though, so I saw her email first and she had attached CPP-O's super vague email. Glad that happened as with a subject line of "Information about File xxx..." it could have resulted in some premature jumping over the moon :)

thats always how it goes with me.
i see an email from ottpilot in my inbox and im flyin around the room buzzing with anticipation for what it may reveal, at least, they actually contacted me for once!
i just hope the buffalo cases are actually being processed versus just being flipped through for the tenth time and then shoved in a pile somewhere with a post it on the top marked "in Que"

At last! Congratulations!!

I think you said you had used a consultant or lawyer? Did they send the COPR directly to you or did it go through your representative? I ask because I'm my husband's 'representative,' his mailing address has always been listed as my home mailing address here, so I'm wondering if they'll send the COPR to Canada or to the US.

I know we are very excited. 2 years apart and now it's finally happening and we can be back together in the same household again!

Yes, we used a consultant and all correspondence went through them. So the COPR went to them as well. I'm pretty sure the COPR usually goes to the applicant not the sponsor normally but since we used a consultant everything went to them. I'm not 100% sure, so I'm hoping someone else can chime in and confirm for you. :)
