can't believe it's finally over! we got our CoPR in the mail this afternoon!!

Looks like waiting to pay the RPRF has definitely pushed us back quite a bit. It's been over a month. *sigh* :'(
Stupid attorney! >:(

That really sucks... from reading this forum it seems that people who use an attorney end up having more problems than people who file on their own. It's so counter intuitive.

I paid all my fees up front and i'm using an attorney. It really depends on who you hire.

Still though, that really sucks :(

Hi Everyone,

I have a question and I'm hoping that someone might have an idea or at least be able to relay what their experience has been like. I received notice of having to redo my medicals. So, I'll be doing that. Since the first time I had it done, apparently, a lot has changed and the physicians here are eMedical enabled, meaning they will be uploading information via computer. I'm thinking this might help to "speed the process up". Anyway, would anyone have any idea how long it could possibly take after review of the medicals by CPP Ottawa (assuming all is well with medicals) before one receives a PPR (assuming that's the next step). I'm hoping it will not be much longer :)

All the best :)

I have a tiny question, on my B4 when I fill out the fact I'm bringing my computer which is custom built, should I just kinda state it has no Serial? I have product numbers for windows and stuff but I don't have a physical serial number on my computer

Thanks

I have 2 custom built PCs and all I was going to do was put the serial # of the motherboard on it. no point in putting the other components since none work without the motherboard.

Though I don't know of the proper way if someone can chime in.

I'd be wary of that. Because they take down the officer's ID number that is put on the COPR at the Service Canada office. If you go there before landing, you might be told to go land before getting a SIN.

Well I called Service Canada and they told me it would be fine. They said as long as it's the official letter from CIC and not a copy of it, I can go get my SIN before landing.

Please let us know how it goes. If it works, I might try the same thing ;)

I was away for the weekend and just got caught up on the updates for the spreadsheets that were sent to me - if I missed you, please feel free to PM me!

I don't see why you would need to land first, when I got my SIN all they needed was the COPR. I think it's just standard that people land and then get their SIN, but really all you need is the COPR.

The only reason I say to be wary, is because our Service Canada office took down the POE, plus the ID number of the border officer.

HI All,
Congrats to all who have had progress. It comes in bursts it seems. Planning to land next week (Yea!) and working on the B4. Any ideas on how to value items? Especially things like books and clothing, that may have been around for a while. Or can anyone direct me to where I can find the info. I've printed out the info at the beginning of this forum, just looking for additional info.
