I sure hope so! I'm feeling so discouraged right now.missmegan said:Agreed! It's too quiet for my liking. Was really hoping to see DMs this week. We got IP Aug 19th and was hoping to see a batch of us go to DM. Maybe next week?
Yeah, it feels like forever since we've heard any good news from Ottawa -- it's like CIC just completely stopped processing apps out of that VO. I hope when the movement starts again we see a flood of updates.ChellyCat said:Wow, all quiet on the Ottawa front lately! Does anyone have any news?? This feels like the longest I've seen with barely any updates... Really hope that means a mass DM is coming soon for all of us....
It seems very different from last year when a group of people were processed crazy fast during the summer, and then there was barely any movement for months. We can only hope that there are tons of updates before the holiday slow-down.DanOCan said:Yeah, it feels like forever since we've heard any good news from Ottawa -- it's like CIC just completely stopped processing apps out of that VO. Congrats! Just in time for winter!jimmyche said:Finally received the COPR. We will be landing tomorrow.
The last leg seems to be the most challenging to be patient.
Canadapost had a small hiccup this morning where the COPR was noted as delivered at 8:30am where the actual package was not received until 3:00pm.
The last 6.5 hours was really killing me.
Girlfriend is from China and has been studying in Canada since 18.
Please see below detail timeline for our application, hope other find it useful.
Lastly, I would like to thank everyone for the support. Without this website, the adventure certainly would not be as smooth.
I sincerely wish everyone here received information regarding their next step soon.

YAY! Looks like Ottawa is moving again. I was in last months batch of emails, we got the same one. Hopefully we can all get some good news before the holiday delays.LT1013 said:I just got the same email as Tvgt.
I've got one issue though.
My sponsor doesn't have a whole lot right now. Is unemployed, and we sent employment letters and tax documents addressed to us at our home address along with our original application.
"Proof of Residence/Intent to Reside
We wish to ask you at this time to provide additional proof that your sponsor resides in Canada. This includes but is not limited to: pay stubs, T4 slips, utility bills, banking history, employment letters, lease agreements, etc. Driver's licences, Property tax assessments, Social Insurance or Health Insurance cards are not sufficient."
Also our bank doesn't mail out bank statements or credit card statements.
The only thing that we really have from my spouse are bills from MSP BC and that's about it.
Does anyone know what else is acceptable to send that would satisfy them? I mean, I can send our Notices of Assessment again..
When I checked ECAS this morning it still said "application received" but I got the same email too! So I'm assuming it will go to "In Process" in the next day or two.LT1013 said:I just got the same email as Tvgt.

Do you have a cable bill, all i did was send my partner's shaw bill and Ottawa responded and said it was sufficient evidence that she lived in Canada.

Our bank doesn't mail those things either, but I was able to go in and get a statement printed out with our address on it. I would send anything you have with your sponsor's name and address on it.LT1013 said:I just got the same email as Tvgt.

Crisis averted Just checked my bank account online and now it has both of our names on it. We made it joint before we sent off the PR Application.Panamai said:Our bank doesn't mail those things either, but I was able to go in and get a statement printed out with our address on it.
