the visa office depends on the APPLICANTS home country. If your wife is working in the usa on a visa, i'd double check her home country's processing time. It seems those who are applying from the US who are there on a work visa get kicked back to LA, which has a significantly longer processing time than ottawa. I don't know if this is true for all US visa holders, it just seems to be the trend based on information i've found on this forum. i have also learned, it doesn't really matter what you put, because CIC will send it where they know it needs to go. I actually forgot to answer that question.cute said:Thanks Mramajohn, onemore quick question- i am living in canada, so in my case i guess i have to write CPC-O.

like i said, i have no idea if that's why applications get kicked back to LA, it's just a trend i figured out by reading posts of those applicants that have had their files transferred there. the final decision is in the hands of CIC. I don't know what determination they use to decide which visa office to send applications to. it's probably best to fill in ottawa, and see where they send it. I think Ottawa AND LA are still shorter than New Dehli? i think for these applicants, it initially gets sent to ottawa, then is transferred to LA along the way... though i don't know this for sure.cute said:Thanks rhcohen2014.
My wife is an Indian, so will her files goes to LA?
I applied last September. I am a Korean citizen, currently studying in the US with F-1 visa. Mine is processed in Ottwa. I am not sure what I put in on my application.cute said:Thanks rhcohen2014.

I had waited 6~7 months and they requested my FBI clearance. It has been over a month since I sent it, but it still shows application received. The process is so slow, can't believe that I have to wait for 60 days.kittyandpipit said:my application was received on October 31st 2013 I got sponshorship approval nov 21st
its been over 6 months now, do I assume there were no mistakes and they are processing it, or they may not have even looked at it yet? it still only says application received.
As far as I know, ALL US applicants are sent to CPC-O they only list offices like New York as places should you need an interview.Mramajohn said:I live in New York and my lawyer put CPC-O.
Did they give you a deadline to when they should receive your fbi clearancekitty410 said:I had waited 6~7 months and they requested my FBI clearance. Yes 60 days. I believe it's my bring forward date.Rorosgurl said:Did they give you a deadline to when they should receive your fbi clearance
how did they notify you for the request? email?kitty410 said:I had waited 6~7 months and they requested my FBI clearance. It has been over a month since I sent it, but it still shows application received. The process is so slow, can't believe that I have to wait for 60 days.
Looks like we are in the same boat as ours was received the same day. We haven't heard a thing so far and Ecas still shows application received status. I know the first time we sent it in (back in August) they sent it back because we had forgotten to fill in a form for his son so I would assume it would be the same if you had made a mistake. I think we just have to try to be patient.... *sigh*kittyandpipit said:my application was received on October 31st 2013 I got sponshorship approval nov 21st
