CPP-Ottawa passport return time - Recent

Hi,
I 've submitted by paper application on Jun/23/2013 and reached the office Jun/25/2013 and currently applications processing applied on Jul/4/2013 and i'm not sure what happened to my application.

I sent an e-mail on Aug/7th to inquire about the status but they did not respond at all yet.

Is there any contact number i can call inquire other than 1888 242 2100. I'm worried now what happened to my passport.

If you are worried, then you can call the number you quoted. But I am not sure how they can trace your application if you submitted a paper one. When you submit one online, a reference number is assigned to an application. Perhaps they can trace your application by your UID.
In your case it is beyond the expected processing times, but as I see those times are very approximate. I am also two weeks over the processing time, but at least I still have my passport at hand.
Good luck in finding out, and hope you get your visa and passport soon.
There is no other phone you can call that I know of.

Thank you Sherych , i'll wait next two days and again i'll send an e-mail to CIC and see what will happen, i think i do not have any other option than sending e-mails to them to inquire about the status.

Thanks, I got my passport back today morning arounfd 9:30 after 48 days.

congratulations, the wait is finally over for you!
I am still waiting for my passport request, not for the travel I had in mind, but for the future now.
Processing times for online application is currently 26 days, but it has been 34 days for me already. I guess sometimes those things take longer....

Unfortunately it's not unheard of for CIC to take a few weeks or more to stamp a visa.
However if you require your passport for urgent travel or something similar, then you can try to inquire about the progress
and plead to be processed faster then others due to you needing the passport by a certain date.
Also check your tracking numbers (provided you used XPressPost envelopes).

Yep my friend also told me it took only 1 week or 2 to get the passport return. Mine is sent out on Oct.18th and I still track it everyday after 6pm.
I know how you feel now. It just makes people worried. "What if the passport is lost?" always shows up in the head. Hope we can get the passport returned soon!

I sent out my passport on Nov 5 and they received on 6 at around 1:00 pm, but up to now the return tracking hasn't been activated... I refresh the tracking everyday like going crazy, and would you kindly let me know why you track it everyday after 6 pm? Appreciated.

The same situation for me, I got the notice to send passport on Nov.5, I sent my passport with a back envelope from Canada Post Xpresspost. What make worse is that I can not track my envelope go to Ottawa, I called canada post and they said that it has been delivered on Nov. 6. I really want it because I have a travel on Nov 21, I need my passport by Nov. 20...Just call the CIC call center and they said they send email to visa office in ottawa to ask them put my case in the urgent situation, hope they can do it quickly!

I am also in the same situation like you I hv send the passport on 8 th and have bukd tickets to India on 22 I have no idea wen I will recive it back.can you help me out with the email address so that I can mail the visa office and inform abt my urgency

Hi,

I just called the CIC again, the agent said they can do nothing about this...( yesterday day I called them, the guy said that he will send the visa office an email about my case, it is weird that different agent have different opinion about this), so I do not know about this, maybe you can just call the CIC to see what can they do or find the email of visa office.

Usually they will send it back within 10 days. You seem to have enough time (a little over a month), so shouldn't be a problem for you.
