Hi All,
I have recently received my OWP and I work in IT/software industry where few of them are still hiring.
On the below website, they have requested to refrain from applying for SIN unless it is urgent. However, it is difficult to understand what is considered as urgent. Like whether should I be having a job offer, or whether my filed of work is still hiring.

People who have applied for SIN after this situation, your inputs will be valuable. It will help us get some examples of what is urgent and what is not.
Moreover, their online service for applying for SIN is currently unavailable and it may take up to 25 days to get SIN if applying by mail. They are currently not accepting applications in person.
Also, I'm not sure if companies would hire without SIN, considering the current situation and by assuring them that I can apply for it after having a job offer as that would be considered as urgent.
