Thank you so much for taking a look at my questions.

I'm from Nicaragua and a couple of years ago I applied for a B2 U.S. tourist visa, it was rejected but I applied again and it got approved. Now I got accepted into a Canadian college and I have to apply for a student permit or student visa and one of the questions is:

"Have you every been denied entry into Canada or any other country?"

Now I'm worried sick because technically I have been denied entry into the states but now I have a 10-year tourist visa. I have to answer "YES" to the question because but I know that's an automatic rejection.

I have the funds and everything that is required to get this visa, but I want to know:

am I just screwed?

No you are not screwed, and no it's not an automatic rejection.

Just tell the truth.

Denied entry means, you went to US airport and one of the officer rejected your entry into the country. It has nothing to do with visa denied.
